I know what you all are thinking its not what you get for christmas its about spending time with your family. well thats true but it is nice to get presents. I mean you get things that you have been trying to save up for and then you get it I like it. :give:

I really like presents that people make, I have a friend who each year gives me a Christmas ornament she had made. I also enjoy those recipe mixes in a jar, candles, baked goodies. I think many people spend way too much money on gift giving.

I feel like my parents when I say this, but I don't really look forward to getting anything. It may be because I expect it and the surprise is not as big as when the wife just springs something on me. I would trade a nice gift for a day spent with my family anytime.

I love getting things that people have made for me that I will keep and cherish forever. For example: I am making scrapbooks of our family to give my parents and grandparents for Christmas this year. I would asolutely love it if someone did something like that for me.

I once made this jar full of candy in it for my mom. it was cool and my dad helped me buy the candy. and every year we always pick out a name and we can't let anyone know who we got. so if we get a parent we have to go to the opposite parent for help. and then we go to the dollar store to get the presents.

thanks I learned it at scouts. and all of us did it and stuffed it full of candy. I think I will do that again this year but to somone else. I don't know who yet.

At one of my past jobs we decided for our secret Santa to take $5.00 to the dollar store and see what goofy presents we could come up with. I think it was the most fun I had with Christmas at work yet.

cool we only go to the dollar store like once every two months. I just went there about a week ago. I went with three of my sisters. and if you worked for the dollar store just immagine what your pay check would be.

well the dollar store has items that break very easily and there candy when you bite it it feels like a rock. and you want to know why? its because they have been on the shelves forever and know one wants to buy it and hardily anyone go's there.

Nope, gotta disagree with ya there Slick. I practically live at the Dollar Store and we don't have stale candy. Maybe the one you have doesn't restock often enough?

Personally I love their Christmas decorations. I have already picked up a lot of stuff from there this season. And like Erv said they carry stuff that you can't find in alot of other places.

well the store we live around you know the dollar store they have like five or six people working there. and we have to go there every christmas to pick out one present for one person.
