GUILTY!! Right here. I honestly did it last Christmas Eve. We were having a lot of family and I was so busy with everything else and all the preparations that I forgot to take my turkey out of the freezer. My sister-in-law saved the day and had an extra one . Thought I was the only one who ever did that. lol. I don't feel so bad now.lol.
Its smoldering today!! Smoked some pork belly this morning and now its on a slow simmer till tonite. Tomorrow we have a small dinner with a asst of odd characters, friends and family.
This Thanksgiving will most likely be a more quiet one, with COVID and family staying home with their families. I am looking forward to the BERS and only 99 days until Thanksgiving. I do appreciate the holidays even though we could not celebrate them as much as we did last year. None the less, I have some things to look forward toward this Thanksgiving. I am so appreciate of my family and friends.
I'm back from dinner now. The in laws LOVED the turkey. We are going to have it for Thanksgiving 2020, it has been on my heart for months and i am so relieved and happy that everyone loved this so much. We had a great "Thanksgiving" meal today - Smoked Turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, creamed corn, and fresh baked bread! I'll be sleeping good tonight!

Happy Summer Sunday! And Happy Milestone Day! What we just had a milestone 2 days ago? Oh well we have ANOTHER. It is our 8th "26th" of the countdown towards Thanksgiving Day. How is that possible? Only 4 to go till the BIG DAY. Our counts? Here we go: 123 days till Thanksgiving, 98 days till November, and 37 days till The Bers. That Bers count sure is getting low isn't it? Well our next milestone will be on Friday when we bid farewell to July and then the following day we welcome in August (the 9th month since November). Exciting times ahead but let's not worry about that quite yet. It's still the 2nd half of the weekend. Make it great. That's the key to a great weekend having 2 great halves. Have a great Summer Sunday!

Happy Final Week of July! It's another hot one here (extra hot today) and to cool us off here are 3 countdowns of some cooler times ahead: 122 days till Thanksgiving, 97 days till November and 36 days till The Bers. That's 3 cooler counts if you ask me. Our next milestone will be on Friday when we bid farewell to the month of July (our 8th month since November). Of course, the next day is a milestone as well on Saturday as we welcome in our 9th month since November (August). Uhh yeah that is pretty insane if you ask me. The months are getting closer every time we flip the calendar to our favorite time of year. That's why I never want summer to go too fast. Have a great Final Week of July!

Oh, I'm ready. Saw Reese's Pumpkins on sale yesterday. Sorta like seeing the groundhog or the first robin of spring.

So I had to go to the eye doctor this morning for an appointment, and on the way back I stopped at Target because they weren't busy, and I hadn't been in there since before the pandemic. They didn't have much out yet, but luckily I spotted this which made the trip worth it:
