Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

I know that I talk about how much I love summer and people get mad I think. But I really, really loved July despite how humid it was. I actually loved how slow it felt to me, having a week of vacation (which has become a tradition in recent years), and 4th of July.
But the last few days I seriously am getting so excited for fall. My dentist just told me it's his favorite season. I told him mine too.
Talk of a Thanksgiving Day and the Dog Show has made me excited for this year’s show.
When I saw this last year, I so wanted to try it, but I was afraid the family would cry "fowl" and I "chickened" out.
While fall is my favorite season too, I have a love affair with each month. I want to enjoy all 12 of them--now a couple of them I am more passionate about than others, but I guess some affairs are torrid and others are warm or gentle or comfortable, or even hot!
I love summer too. Not as much as Fall. But love it all the same.

- Nothing – I absolutely despise summer
- I am choosing B. I like warm weather but don’t need it this humid. Baseball? I would take football any day over it. And I do not despise summer at all so I will not say D. It's the truth. I bet if I lived somewhere else where the temperatures weren't so insane with the high humidity, I would enjoy summer more. But here from around the 3rd week of June, it's nothing but 80% humidity, 85+ degree temperatures, bugs, heat advisories, worrying about if your A/C can keep up, the list could go on and on. Every year I count down that six week stretch and long for where we are right now when you can finally feel the temperatures breaking more and more every day! Have a great day!

Mad? No, not at all. I may have an unhealthy dislike of summer, but I'd never be mad over someone else's love of the season. In fact, I'm sure summer is downright enjoyable throughout most of the U.S. And for the people who love summer, I genuinely hope they do enjoy it.
I just happen to live in an area of the country where summer embodies some small corner of Hell. Temps over 100, bug swarms, the sun being up until 9 p.m., droughts, constant humidity, hurricanes...I REALLY need to move.
In short, we all have different opinions, and I'd never be mad or upset for anyone sharing their love of summer. I'm sure that my incessant ramblings about my disdain for summer moreso grate the nerves, and I'm sorry for that. I will try to keep myself in check and be better next year.
...But I'm glad Fall is almost here.

I’ve got to say A. The only thing I can’t stand about winter is that I’m always cold. All. The. Time.
I am another vote for the summer clothes one. When I ready about humidity and that summer feels like a corner of hell, I really appreciate our summers here. Hot yes, humid, seldom. And except for maybe a couple of weeks, it cools down to a reasonable temperature at night. And a person can always ride up in the mountains to cool down. Except for last year when we broke all kinds of summer heat records, our summers are pretty great. Probably one of the reasons I like summer.
I wish I could get more time out of shorts. I get about 4 months...5 tops if I push it. It's hard to wear shorts in October through April here.
