Since CW brought up cranberry ginger ale, I'm running with a "beverages" theme for picture Tuesday this week.

First, here is my absolute favorite soda ever (that you can only get during the Bers):

And here is something that I'm sure will be familiar to @SolidSnake84 that we get every Thanksgiving (or anytime we just want some holiday feels):

It’s a mainstay on Rudolph day meals. I seriously never get tired of the stuff.

Happy snow on the ground Tuesday! So the Cranberry Ginger Ale has dried up, except for the stuff with that weird sweetener in it. The house is in turmoil..lol. My idea is to buy some cranberry juice and add it to the soda, the girls idea.."ITS NOT THE SAME!!"
I love Cranberry Ginger Ale, there have been years that I haven't been able to find. This year it seemed to be everywhere and was even at Dollar General well after New Years!

I like to think that the planning that goes into Superbowl food / party is very similar to what goes on leading up to Thanksgiving! At least that's how I feel. I like being able to make the connection there anywhere I can because it stirs up a few doses of Feels each time. And seeing the 300's count go away is always a big deal. What a great week this will be!
I love it too...very much feels similar to Thanksgiving preparations!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 302
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 280
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 219

Happy Final Week Of January! Today folks we look at our counts and see 302 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 280 days to go until November, and 219 days left until The Bers. Our back to back milestones happen the next 2 days when we reach Tom Turkey Day #2 and the 300-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. Amazing. We move ahead in our Winter Wonderland with a weekly poll for you all as we do every single Wednesday!

The best thing that not many people outside of this thread talk about when it comes to Thanksgiving is which of the following?

  • Weekend Before Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving Eve
  • Football/Parade being on t.v.
  • Thanksgiving Dessert
  • I’m going to go with B. You know I’m a Thanksgiving Eve addict and I call it the most underrated day of the year. It’s something people outside of this site barely acknowledge at all during the year. They’re all good choices and stuff most people overlook though. Many people focus simply on turkey/family and forget all the other stuff I listed above. What’s your choice? Have a great Final Week Of January!

My vote today will be for "A". I think it was @ballcoach who pointed out a few years ago the significance / specialness of the weekend before Thanksgiving. I might be misquoting him, if so, I'm sorry. But whether it was him or someone else, I started thinking then differently about that weekend. And I felt like it was a weekend that doesn't / didn't get enough attention. It really is the "last" weekend before "It" all starts.

Have a great day!

My answer is C. I love watching, talking about, and looking for any tidbit of info on the parade. I have a video of every parade since 1980 and a digital poster of every parade since 1979. It's just not Thanksgiving until the parade comes on.

I love the Wednesday poll. It just makes my heart happy and gives me a shot of Thanksgiving feels.

Today I'm going with "A" for my answer. Just like Snake said above, I think Coach really shined a light of importance on this weekend, and it has stuck with a lot of us in this thread. That weekend has an entirely different feel and is so full of excitement.

It was very close, though. I almost chose "B" for the same reason, but I do hear some Thanksgiving Eve chatter from my co-workers, even if it is just their excitement about having the next day off.

It was indeed the great Coach!

I am a big ole' B!!!!

For me Thanksgiving Eve is 100%, an A+!
I'm gonna be honest and tell you that I think about Thanksgiving Eve more than Thanksgiving Day during the course of the year...I think part of it is when I'm at work sometimes I'll dream of that day at work and how it feels so different from every other day of the year. And I think part of it is how I think how everything is so "normal" for almost 11 months up to that day and then suddenly that day you feel the "change" coming.
