It is a Thanksgiving Evening tradition at my house too.
I have seen these on Amazon and have them in my save for later, but I haven't ordered yet.

Happy Welcome To Summer! Today folks we reach a milestone with the Arrival of Summer. It’s official! And we do so with the following counts: 155 to Thanksgiving, 133 to November, and 72 to The Bers. Our next milestone is TOMORROW when we reach Tom Turkey Day #7. Are you ready for that my friends? We move along in the Summer Sweatfest with a weekly poll and today it’s about the “solstice.” When it comes to the summer/winter solstice when do you really notice a change in the length of daylight?

- The day after the solstice for summer/winter I immediately see a difference.
- About a month after the solstice for winter/summer I notice a difference.
- About 6 weeks after the solstice for winter/summer I notice a difference.
- It takes at least 2+ months after the solstice for winter/summer to notice a difference.
I'm going with "C" on this one. We don't really notice any change here in June, other than psychologically knowing that the change has happened. About a month afterwards, we can look at the clocks and realize that we are losing around a minute or so a day. The most major change is two months after when it is getting dark again around 7:45 - 8:00 PM, but we can see results here by the end of July. "C" for me! Have a great day!
C here too...def toward the end of July I notice it getting darker here earlier!

Technically I notice the change roughly a couple of weeks out since I'm tracking the times of the sunset almost daily after the Solstice. However, if I wasn't writing them down and looking at the forecast daily, realistically I wouldn't notice the change until around August, so I'm also going to go with C.

Happy Latter June! Today folks we have 154 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 132 days to go until November, and 71 days remaining until The Bers. Today is a milestone folks as we have reached TOM TURKEY DAY #7! I hope Rich is here for it. And our next milestone folks is 4 days from now when we reach the 150-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Yes, that will happen on Monday. But today is Thursday so let’s do the #1 feature in this thread which is Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!
When I hear people talk about their plans for Thanksgiving I hear this excitement in their voice when the time comes (in November). Everyone seems genuinely excited for it maybe more than any other day they talk about of the entire year. I guess that’s what makes Thanksgiving great is the universal love for it for those that celebrate it! I hear people say they don’t love Christmas…but I never hear anyone say they don’t love Thanksgiving. I wonder why.
Now turkey fans we move along here in our thread and the Summer Sweatfest which really hasn’t been too sweaty (yet) at least. Kids get out school here tomorrow. Another big turning point as we head into the 10-weeks of hardcore summer. Have a great Latter June!
