Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

Thanksgiving Day is perfect because even when it is over we still have so much to look forward to!
October through June...that's 9 so you're not far off from reality lol.

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 154
Happy Farewell To March! Today folks we have 237 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 215 days to go until November, and 154 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be TOMORROW folks when April Arrives. WOW. That will be huge. 4 full months completed of our 11-month journey back to turkey month (November)? It will be real tomorrow. Super Spring fans don’t worry about March ending tonight. We have the entire month of April (and more) to enjoy this time period of the year. Definitely nobody wants to rush April which is Halfway to October and the month of Easter, spring and more. If you are a fan of turkey I hope you have enjoyed the thread this week. We do begin our 3-day weekend here now. And I hope all of you are ready for it. It’s nice to get a break, but I have to say I love our Mon-Thu lineup every week. I think it’s fun and a good mixture. Just my opinion. Now turkey fans we need to enjoy this last day of March before we can look at April. So let’s do it. April in this thread hopefully will be a good month. Of course, it’s more for October/Halloween but that’s ok we’ll wait our turn in this thread as we don’t have any reason to rush anything at this point. We have an abandoned Montgomery Wards in my town (Winchester - VA). I believe it is one of the last standing Montgomery Wards in the country that hasn't been demolished. It is scheduled for demolition in October of this year. Very sad. I remember going there with my Grandma when I was a kid!

Happy April Arrives! Today folks we have 236 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 214 days to go until November, and 153 days left until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day folks as April Arrives! We have completed 4 months and now start our 5th month of our 11-month journey back to November. WOW! Our next milestone is pretty easy to notice as it will be our 150-Day Marker Till The Bers. That’s significant to be halfway from 200 to 100. It will happen on Picture Tuesday. I look forward to it as all of you do as well I’m sure. But today folks we move ahead into a new month and a FULL month of our Super Spring. That’s right all 30 days of April we will stay in our Super Spring safely. That’s a lot of S’s and I really love this time of year. I think maybe in past years I just got to this point and was almost wanting summer to come but this year I definitely realize even more than usual how awesome spring is. And how it really feels like The Bers in some ways too. And yeah, baseball is back and yet there’s plenty of football talk including the NFL Draft which happens very later on in the month. And turkey fans you know what? Those NFL Schedules might come out this month. If they do, we’ll post the Thanksgiving Day games as soon as we find out. We’ll see if they’re announced this month. Happy 1st day of April to all! Folks, let me tell you - being at the store today really had a week-before-Thanksgiving vibe to it. The grocery store was jumping, and Costco was like a mad house. Being in the big lines actually felt good - It made me remember what it feels like during November / December before Thanksgiving and Christmas! Have a great day!

Luckily we’ll still have a full 50 days to enjoy of hardcore spring after that. I need it. Yesterday went from rainy to warm/sunny back to cooler/stormy. But when that sun is out you really enjoy this time of year. Now turkey fans I want you all to know that you’re amazing and that we are all enjoying our Super Spring in this thread. And we are only still in the early stages of it. As I said we will be in our Super Spring all April month long so that is something we can all enjoy and take in as we enjoy this wonderful and unique (and maybe underrated) time of year. Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. I know many of us are looking forward to next weekend being a holiday weekend. We continue our 3-day quiet weekend in this thread today and complete it. Yesterday during the 4 mile trail run, I had several November vibes. First, the smell of the old leaves and damp ground reminded me completely of the first half of the battlefield half marathon, as the run goes out through the countryside here. Also as I mentioned being in the stores was just CRAZY with the amount of people and traffic, I am sure it was because of being the weekend before Easter, but I loved how it made me have feelings of November and that magical week before Thanksgiving.

@Edge612, you wrote the perfect post for me today, so much so that I am having a bit of Thanksgiving Week feels!!! I absolutely love the weekend before and the week of Thanksgiving and all the chores and errands so why can't I feel the same way about the week of Easter? I can. There are some obvious differences but I think if I try I can tweak things a bit to maximize the Feels.
