DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 64
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 37

Happy Latter September! Today folks we move along and see that we have 64 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 37 days to go until November. Our next milestone will arrive tomorrow with Tom Turkey Day #10. Double Digits Tom Turkey Days. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!

What’s the thing you’re looking forward to the most about October?

  • The weather getting chillier.
  • Sports (football season/baseball playoffs/basketball + hockey starting)
  • Halloween Everything
  • Not really a fan of October
  • I like A & B but for me you all know the answer is C. Halloween Everything. I’ve got a ton of stuff planned to include the simple stuff like Halloween Candy/Shows and then not so simple stuff like Haunted Houses and Hayrides. Turkey friends I hope you plan to have a great day today. Have a great Latter September!

C for me as well. Let the Halloween fun begin!!!

It's an easy choice for me today! I'm looking forward to October and Halloween "everything"! And it will be here before we know it! And the closer October gets, the closer THANKSGIVING gets! Gobble Gobble!

Today my answer is A, which will be replaced by C as soon as it happens but I am ready for cooler temps and my allergies to subside.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 63
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 36

Happy Early Autumn! Today folks we move along and see that we have 63 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 36 days to go until November. Our milestone is here folks as we have reached Tom Turkey Day #10! Wow. And our next milestone will be on Tuesday when we welcome in the month of October. At that time we will begin our final full month before November. Yikes. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well in our Awesome Autumn so far. And it’s Thanksgiving Thought Thursday so below you can read all about today’s thought!

9 weeks until Thanksgiving. Wow. We still have a full 2+ months though to enjoy the build to the most amazing overall day of the year. I say the word “overall” because Christmas Eve is mostly about the evening. Christmas Day is mostly about the morning. But Thanksgiving is really about the entire day.

That’s why I say Thanksgiving is probably the best day overall of the year. When you take everything into consideration it is hard to argue with including how it begins the hardcore holiday season. Have a great Early Autumn!

After years of visiting this site, and this thread, I think I'm finally ready to admit that Thanksgiving is indeed the most amazing day of the whole year. Even as little as two years ago I don't think I'd have said that, but my entire perspective on Thanksgiving has changed, and there's just so much joy and magic happening on that day, and then knowing that Christmas and December immediately follow it is icing on the cake. From the time I wake up on Thanksgiving morning until I go to bed that night, there's a big, goofy smile on my face.

I still love Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, don't get me wrong. But I confess that Thanksgiving is my new #1.

I agree, Thanksgiving Day is the whole package. I love Thanksgiving morning more than Christmas Eve morning and Thanksgiving night has that feeling of everything is starting, instead of everything is behind us.

In honor of Tom Turkey Day I tried out another appetizer in my air fryer and I think it is the best one yet. So with only one more Tom Turkey Day left, I think Appsgiving will be homemade pizza and pepperoni bread, Stouffer's Mac and Cheese Bites, TGIF Poppers and then salami, cheese, and crackers.

I LOVE those things! So good. And even better in the air fryer.

I hate to say it too because forever I refused to put anything above Christmas Eve. I still think Christmas Eve is the most magical/special day but the best day overall? I have to give an edge to Thanksgiving! There I said it!

OMG. I think I'm finally right there with you all. Thanksgiving Day is the best. There, I said it too.

But it is Christmas that makes Thanksgiving so great. If there was nothing but winter after Thanksgiving, then it would not even be a top ten favorite holiday for me. Just saying.

Will be waiting for my invitation in the mail. Seriously, one of our local grocery stores is having their case lots sell this week so as well as stocking up on basics, I got the baking items that were on sale.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 62
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 35

Happy Autumn TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 62 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 35 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be on Tuesday when we reach the Arrival of October. The Arrival of the FINAL MONTH before the month of November. Oh boy. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our Fun Fact Friday listed below!

The first Turkey Trot dates back to the 1890s.

Buffalo, New York, was the first city to host a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning in 1896. Only six runners participated in the race that year, running on stretches of dirt road for roughly five miles.

Personally, I never participated in a Turkey Trot but I am a runner so I probably would fit in. But maybe the trot is to help you prepare yourself to eat a big meal. Work up that appetite? But I’d rather watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Turkey friends I hope your week has gone well and that your Friday goes fine as well as we approach a big weekend of September. The 4th quarter of the year is looming right in front of our eyes now. The Big 3 Holiday Months are coming…very soon. Gobble Gobble friends. Have a great Autumn TGIF!
