I definitely feel the comparisons between Christmas Eve Eve and Thanksgiving Eve. We're talking about two days that are pretty much "perfect" from start to finish. There are magic in those days that we can't really replicate even if we try! Have a great day!

I'm thinking C. Our Christmas Eve isn't as big as most people's. But all the anticipation is there just like Thanksgiving Eve.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 196
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 169
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 108

Happy Middle Day Of May! Today folks we have 196 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 169 days left until November, and 108 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestones will be next week when we reach Tom Turkey Day #6 on Thursday followed by dare, I say the biggest milestone on this website. It might be right up there with the 100-Day Marker till The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Super Spring with today’s Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

The NFL Schedules came out. Seeing them always makes me smile for 2 reasons. #1 is because I’m a football. #2 is because fall is what I think of when I think of football. And that makes me smile any time of year.

Turkey friends I hope your week is going well so far. And you’re enjoying your time this week. Maybe a good meal to make you think of Thanksgiving would be in order. Sounds good to me any day, any time, any place. Turkey friends I hope you are gobbling your way through enjoying this month of May. This is such a great month for us fans of fall and Thanksgiving. Getting the feels. Have a great Middle Day Of May!

It's not happening on Tom Turkey Day, but on the 25th when we do Rudolph Day this month, we are having a very "Thanksgiving-like" dinner with Turkey, and Hash Brown Casserole, which is normally a dish reserved for Christmas and Thanksgiving! This SHOULD have been the meal we had for "mini thanksgiving", but perhaps we can represent the spirit of Thanksgiving just a little! I can throw in some Sparkling cider for a decidedly "Thanksgivingy" dinner!

Seeing that schedule out now, I'm stoked. Ready for "The Road" to open up next weekend and me stomp on the gas to head into the fall! I'm ready for some football!

Have a great day!

With all the talk and reminiscing about Thanksgiving in the Daily Holiday Hangout thread, I find myself thinking that it's closer than it really is. I've got the major feels going on right now.

The Chicago Bears are playing on Thanksgiving Day, at 12:30 pm CST so I am going to do some thinking and see if perhaps I could host some extended family who don't have a big day planned, maybe for the second half.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 195
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 168
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 107

Happy 2nd Half Of May! Today folks we move along and have 195 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 168 days to go until November, and 107 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will be on Thursday when we reach Tom Turkey Day #6 followed the very next day by the 100-Day Marker till The Bers. We move along in our Super Spring Stress-Free style for 1 more week friends. And we do so on this Fun Fact Friday with the below!
The history of U.S. presidents pardoning turkeys is patchy. Harry Truman is often credited with being the first president to pardon a turkey, but that’s not quite true. He was the first to receive a ceremonial turkey from the National Turkey Federation – and he had it for dinner. John F. Kennedy was the first to let a Thanksgiving turkey go, followed by Richard Nixon who sent his turkey to a petting zoo. George H.W. Bush is the president who formalized the turkey pardoning tradition in 1989.

Wow that’s interesting. Well I never would not pardon a turkey. Turkeys deserve to be treated like gold. Because to us (and to our tummy) they are gold. They are the best. Have a great 2nd Half Of May!
