Happy Black Friday! Today folks we have 370 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 343 days to go until November, and 282 days to go until The Bers. Wow look at those full counts. Exciting isn’t it? And the Thanksgiving count is as big as it can ever get. We have an extra week folks. Thanksgiving falls later next year so we have a longer haul. I think that’s awesome. More time in this thread to have fun. We begin our Happy Holidays part of the year and feeling like it’s time to do some shopping today on Black Friday. I plan to do it online but if you’re going out good luck. And folks with it being Friday I want to introduce to you our brand new segment for this thread. Fun Fact Friday!

Although subsequent presidents also proclaimed national thanksgiving days, the holidays fell on different days and months. However, in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that Thanksgiving would be held on every last Thursday of November each year and that it would be a national holiday.

Interesting so by that this year we would have Thanksgiving Day on November 30th. Wow. I think we all would have been craving it so badly then. Friends – Have a great day today. Enjoy it and be safe. Kind of interesting to have it go that way usually it's more gradual back to the 28th for Thanksgiving. The Earliest date we can have is the 22nd. I like having a little time and space between Thanksgiving and the start of December, personally. This year and and a year where T-giving is on the 22nd gives a nice space , it's kind of strange having December start during the Thanksgiving weekend.

Happy Late November! Today folks we move ahead and look at our 3 counts above as usual. 366 days remain until Thanksgiving, 339 days are left until November and 278 days we have to go until The Bers. Our next (and first) milestone will take place on Friday when we welcome in the Arrival of December. It will begin the 11-month journey back to the month of November which we’re currently hanging on to as I type this. Pretty awesome friends. And we move along in our Happy Holidays portion of our year on this Tuesday with the first Picture Day of this thread. That’s right Picture Day is back and I hope better than ever. I think this is the one daily topic we started that really took off after it started up nice and easy at first. So if you want to make it feel like Thanksgiving you might as well post some pictures and help all of us get that awesome and amazing feeling we all crave that we just recently had too. Turkey friends 1 year from today is Thanksgiving. Let that hit you. Yesterday I was in my normal spot at work where I go to be alone and was thinking how 1 year from then would be Thanksgiving Eve and how that was my favorite work day again this year. And how much I loved it. Hard to believe we have such a long count this year. I love it. Turkey friends post your pictures on Picture Day and let us know if you are enjoying anymore leftovers. I tell you what, I am going to have a little "mini celebration" when we finally break the ONE YEAR SEAL on that Thanksgiving count. I would be curious to know how often something like this occurs where it's over one year from one Thanksgiving to the next. Holy cow does the count feel long. I'm so glad we don't have to do that with Halloween or Christmas, could you imagine?

Happy Next To Last Day Of November! Today folks we have 365 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 338 days to go until November, and 277 days left until The Bers. Our first milestone will be on Friday when we reach the Arrival of December. The first month on our 11-month road back to November is going to start on Friday friends. We move along in our Happy Holidays portion of our year and talk about our first Weekly Wednesday Poll which is back yet again for another year here in this thread!

How much do you miss Thanksgiving right now?​

I do miss it but as I’ve said many times Thanksgiving is the one holiday where when it ends it’s hard to be sad because we all love the Christmas Season as much as any other time of year and here we are. Just amazing now to be here. But of course I miss it a bit. Who wouldn’t? But I almost feel like we’re in an extension of Thanksgiving right now which is an awesome feeling. I'm going with B this morning. I miss Thanksgiving tremendously and all that time off. It was like being in another world. But if we went backwards we wouldn't be standing on the door to Christmas Season.

In other news, we are finally, FINALLY, able to say that Thanksgiving is "just" ONE YEAR away from today. Tomorrow when we break that seal I am honestly going to have a small celebration to honor Thanksgiving in some way, maybe it might just be eating a piece of turkey, or drinking a sparkling cider, but this crazy countdown has made it seem like Thanksgiving was forever ago. I think tomorrow is finally the day we can say that we are truly on our way! Have a great day!

Its only B for me. I am up to my forehead in finishing a '70 Cougar by Christmas. My buddy exploded his 25+ grand motor I built him...never saw a motor break apart like that. (Remains going in my trophy case of stupidity) Thanksgiving was a taste failure so I would rather move on.
