DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 355
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 328
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 267

Happy Christmas Season Weekend! Today folks we move along in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread and see we have 355 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 328 days to go until November, and 267 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in a dozen days when we reach the official arrival of winter. Who can’t get excited for winter? We all can because it will be a good reason to hibernate. And take a break. Well not till after Christmas, of course. Busy, Busy, Busy time of year right now. But in this thread my friends as we continue our annual “Free Week” throughout this weekend I have to say to you all that I’ve enjoyed the start of this thread. Our 5 days of topics has become a lot of fun. And now I hope all of you are settling into that groove. And now our weekends are fully restful here and no need to post any special topics. But just come here to enjoy the counts, each other’s company and relaxing. It’s good to get a break from the week here on the weekend. Turkey friends I hope you had a good week and that your week ahead will be fine and dandy. And that you get everything you need to get done and also you get to rest some too. That’s always important and taking a break from all the crazy times of the week. Gobble Gobble. 50 weeks till Coach’s Weekend. Just saying! Have a great Christmas Season Weekend!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 354
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 327
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 266

Happy Double Digits December! Today folks we have 354 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 327 days to go until November and 266 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be when Winter Arrives but that’s not for another 11 days. And yet we are in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread and feeling in the holiday spirit here. Just remember who brought you here. It was Thanksgiving. That’s right. US. WE did it. All of us Thanksgiving fans brought us the most wonderful time of the year. And friends our free week continues today in the 2nd half of our quiet weekend before another big week of 5 topics. And we still have 50 full weeks in front of us in this thread before we get to the biggest week of the year. But of course, my friends it all feels relative right now being in the holiday season and feeling like every moment of every day feels big. And all the stuff we’re doing to get ready for the holiday season is so amazing isn’t it? Turkey friends enjoy your quiet Sunday I hope. It’s hard to think in 2 weeks it’ll be Christmas Eve which is the only day I feel even compares to the greatness of Thanksgiving. I know Christmas Day is great. But also some finality on that day. Turkey Turkey Turkey. Got it? Have a great Double Digits December!

Happy Sunday! It is hard to believe that two weeks from today is Christmas Eve. Kind of a sad thought honestly. But we are all here together and we will get through it together. I think time goes faster the older you get. Have a happy Sunday!

I have a bit of knot in my stomach thinking about just having 2 weeks left too, I don't know if it is because I am sad or because I am still feeling a bit scattered. It almost feels similar to the doldrums I used to get in November. And I agree, I am happy we are here together! I am going to have my favorite cup of tea and start with one task at a time!

Yep. Just two weeks left. A glorious two weeks. I'm not looking forward to the rest of winter. But right now all I can think of is the two weeks I'll have off for Christmas. That, I am looking forward to.

Happy Sunday all! Trying to squirm my schedule around for extra days off for Christmas. I finished up my aunts '70 Cougar Eliminator and my best restoration ever today of a '70 AAR Cuda its a 1 of 1 built. That cleared up the bays for non essential stuff. So I got forced to have ham for Christmas and maybe the next 45 days as leftovers..ughh. Think I will do 2 boneless turkeys stuffed also.

Hence why I kept telling everyone not to rush the summer. And I'm going to try to take my own advice and not rush the winter ahead. But right now we're in a sweet spot still. With the big Christmas Week still a week away.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 353
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 326
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 265

Happy Holiday Spirit! Today folks we move along into a brand new holiday season week. And we have 353 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 326 days left until November, and 265 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the Arrival of Winter which will take place in 10 days. Right now we are in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread feeling great. And enjoying every moment. I hope all of you are as much as I am. With it being Monday we begin a new week of topics starting off (as always) with our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. That count right now stands at a perfectly round 50 weeks. Our Free Week has ended. And now we begin that long (extremely long) 50-week journey back to the most amazing week of the entire year. Yesterday I was thinking about Thanksgiving Eve. I know nobody else in the world was thinking about it right now. But what I was thinking was how that day was really the bridge of change. How everything up until that day was normal and then…suddenly it wasn’t. And that special feeling I had on Thanksgiving Eve that built throughout the day. Pure magic. Dare I say similar to Christmas Eve? Turkey friends enjoy a new week and a holiday season spirit today in the air. Have a great Holiday Spirit!

Rich used to talk about over in one of the other threads, another day during the year that really is right before there is serious mental change in dealing with the countdowns. Was it Memorial Day weekend? Or was it once July 4th was in the books? I know we all view Memorial Day weekend as "The Road" back to The Bers, but I feel like we had another day that signified a major mental turning point.

Lots of turkey thoughts though this week as I attempt to earn my remaining point balance at Martins so that I can get my free ham. I need about 190 points, and I have until 12/24 to get the ham! Ham and Turkey i think symbolize holiday meals!

Have a great day!

I don't think it was me, but maybe, Edge, who pointed out that July 4th was the turning point as it is the last big holiday before The Bers.

Lots of thoughts in my mind this morning.

I loved reading Edge’s thoughts about Thanksgiving Eve and how it is a “transformitory” (Is that even a word? It should be.) day. Christmas Eve, I feel, is a different kind of magic. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are both big changes, but the change that comes after Christmas ends is more morose and definitely not as joyful as the change in the air on Thanksgiving Eve.

I’m feeling okay right now with the inevitability that Christmas will be here in two weeks, and I’m trying to stay positive that even after it’s over there will be a lot to look forward to in 2024. We’ll see how I feel the closer we get to Christmas.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 352
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 325
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 264

Happy Dozen Days Of December! Today folks we have 352 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 325 days to go until November, and 264 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 9 days. That is single digits until the Arrival of Winter. It’s going to be a cold winter ahead I feel but we’ll worry about that in 9 days. For now we move along in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread on this Picture Day Tuesday. The phenomenon that caught on in last year’s thread is starting off this year’s thread in definitely style. And I hope all of you will join me in posting some pictures. I always come back for my 2nd stop of the day to post them. Turkey friends is it just me or does it amaze you where we are? Heading into the heart of December is such a strange and unique feeling. And I hope all of you are excited for where we are right now. And where we are going as well. But right now nobody else outside of us is thinking about Thanksgiving Eve or Day. They’re both still 50+ weeks away. I call Christmas Eve/Day the Dynamic Duo but Thanksgiving Eve/Day are right up there in my humble opinion. Now I hope all of you have a great day today and do help out and take part in Picture Day. Have a great Dozen Days Of December!

I feel the same way brother. As much as I try and "not think about it", the sad / brutal truth is nothing that we can do will prevent what comes after Christmas is over. We can only enjoy the rest of the time we have left as much as we can. I do truly think it is easier to wish for Christmas beginning in January when we start chasing countdowns again, than it is that last week of December, if that makes any sense!
