I was thinking yesterday that I still have several cans of pumpkin in the pantry .. might need to make a pumpkin pie soon.
Yum!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 273
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 246
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 185

Happy Leap Day! Today folks we have 273 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 246 days to go until November, and 185 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be tomorrow when we reach the Arrival of March. Folks we move along in our Winter Wonderland and realize that hey this is a big turning point coming. March coming is big. Why? Well we look below in our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday why that is!

There’s so many turning points and months definitely are some of them. But March, in a strange way, for me might be the biggest turning point of the year. The reason? My least 2 favorite months are behind me and my 10 favorite months are in front of me. Also, being halfway to The Bers is amazing and makes all of us smile. But knowing we’re safely on the other side of the year with tons and tons of time to enjoy stuff without being in The Bers. Maybe it’s the Sweet Spot of Spring? March is also the month that reminds me the most of November and Thanksgiving. The weather is similar sometimes. March. It’s a month not many talk about but maybe they should.

Well March is an interesting month for sure. But so is November. But so is every month. February for example. Turkey friends gobble your way through your bonus day of the year. Have a great Leap Day!

A long time ago, March used to be my least favorite month to pass in the Christmas countdown. March is a long one, it has almost 5 full weeks, and if you get bad weather or what not it can feel like even longer. March of 2020? Holy cow it felt like it was 6 months long. But now, I realize, March isn't so bad. Sometimes the weather is nice which means we're outside a lot more and doing fun things. I like getting my yard ready to start mowing. And I like having all the mowers ready to go so I can just jump on that first weekend of April and get mowing. And it is indeed a month that might feel like winter time, or it might feel like Spring / early Summer. Here's to hoping that March will feel like Spring and Summer!

March is usually when the PCBs start coming back for me. I don't know if it's the length of the month or because we set the clocks one hour ahead or just that there's not much happening in March, but I've never been one to linger there for too long. I always want to push ahead to April. This year, I'm hoping for something different. Maybe looking at March through the lens of "halfway to the Bers" will help me overcome my dislike of the month.

Let's never speak of March 2020 ever again...talk about time standing still.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 272
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 245
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 184

Happy March Arrives! Today folks we have 272 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 245 days to go until November, and 184 days left until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day folks! We have reached the Arrival Of March. Wow. We move along in our Winter Wonderland now into March folks. Wow. The Day of Hope. And it’s a long Winter Wonderland as we’re still in it here in our 3rd month now. Our next milestone folks isn’t for a long time. 19 days. I actually changed the milestone back a day. It was originally in 18 days. But I have edited the first post in this thread. Why? Because spring does officially arrive March 19th but it’s almost at midnight lol and we’ll all be sleeping anyway. So let’s just say March 20th which has always been the first day of spring that normally is the day. Turkey friends it’s Friday so let’s do it. You love it. We all love it. Fun Fact Friday!

A turkey consists of 70 percent white meat and 30 percent dark meat. White meat has fewer calories and less fat than dark meat.

I’m more of a dark meat person myself. I knew there would be more white meat than dark but maybe more like 60/40 I would have guessed. Less fat/fewer calories for white meat? That makes sense. Turkey friends enjoy the start of your March. Have a great March Arrives!

Holly likes the dark meat on the turkey and I enjoy the white meat. Yin and Yang, I suppose. if March is the Month of Hope, then is March 1st the Day of Hope?

Have a great day, friends!

Michelle likes the white meat and I like the dark meat. We end up throwing out some of the white, but all of the dark gets consumed by me.

When it is for a main dish I prefer white meat, but I like dark meat in casseroles, soup, and turkey and biscuits.
