Thanksgiving 2024 Thread

Happy Easter! I have long made comparisons of the dinner today to Thanksgiving dinner, if only because the family is all together sitting at the table. When is the next time we do that? Thanksgiving and Christmas. So it's easy to feel the associations today. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! Been sick since Friday but feel a improvement today. I am doing bacon cheeseburgers, turkey burgers and a Jack Daniels embalmed ham. (I had no choice in it..lol)

Fortunately we do it for BBQ like Memorial Day and 4th of July but it's not quite the same vibe as Easter. And it does feel like a Thanksgiving type of holiday a little bit!

Happy April Arrives! Today folks we have 241 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 214 days to go until November, and 153 days left until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day friends as we welcome in the month of April. Indeed, it is. Our next milestone will be on Thursday. No it won’t be a Tom Turkey Day as this is just the first week of the month. But it will be a big milestone as we reach the 150-Day Marker till The Bers. That’s incredible if you ask me. We move along in a full month now of our Super Spring feeling Stress Free this month. Let’s enjoy it ok? I think April might be the perfect month where we’re just enjoying it without the pressures of other months. It’s a great spot on the calendar knowing we’re on the opposite side now of October. I think that’s cool to keep it away from us yet know that’s pretty amazing we’re moving into a month that leads us halfway back there. Turkey friends it is Monday so let’s do our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 34 weeks. We move into a new month friends. The last month before the big month of all the hugest milestones in this entire thread so let’s enjoy this month as much as we can and pace ourselves nice and slowly. But it is exciting to be in April. I hope you are all gobbling your way through your Monday and the start of a new month. Have a great April Arrives!​

For the most part I agree. We usually get one last snow storm the first part of April--we had flurries yesterday so maybe not this year.

It is and there is no controlling when everything gets scheduled... graduations, First Communions, Mother's Day, etc...

Makes sense. I only have one graduation this year and one wedding, but you add in Mother's Day and an extended family get-together and yes, I guess it does get hectic.

Happy Early April! Today folks we have 240 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 213 days to go until November, and 152 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Thursday which is the day after tomorrow when we reach the 150-Day Marker till The Bers. Friends we move along in our Super Spring not feeling any stress this month. And we move into Tuesday which is one of our personal favorites known as Picture Day so make sure you post those pictures of Autumn/Thanksgiving. It’s pretty cool in sports how baseball is here and yet if you’re a fan of basketball/hockey those sports will have their playoffs soon. And then we’ll also have this month the NFL Draft which is big if you are a football fan. Yes, football which is the sport of Thanksgiving and nobody can deny that. Turkey friends I hope you had a good Monday and that you’re ready for your Tuesday. Make sure to post a bit here with some pictures. I’ll be doing that also later today. Turkey friends it’s a Tuesday so make the most of it here without any stress in the very early days of the month of April. Great time of year with everything still well in front of us including summer which I know my friend CW is looking forward to. But for now let’s just enjoy today and the great season of spring.
