Yeah I'm not a big fan of crowds either!

Happy 4th Of July! Today folks we have 147 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 120 days left until November, and 59 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers. It will electrify us and especially in the Holiday Hang Out with our new format (I’m excited about) for our 50-Day Preview of The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest on this special holiday and on this Thanksgiving Thought Thursday. You’ll read that below. Please do now.
In a weird way 4th of July seems similar to Thanksgiving to me. I guess the turkey dinner is like a big bbq. The 4th represents summer as much as Thanksgiving represents autumn. And there’s a bunch of traditions in each too.
It’s hard to compare holidays sometime but sometimes it is fun to try and do at least. They don’t always match exactly but it’s fun to try to get them on an even par. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and enjoying your day. Gobble Gobble to all of you. And the best for all of you my friends on this holiday. Turkey friends just have a great time with family and friends on this holiday. Have a great 4th Of July!

Happy July 4th! It's a big day. Not just for the significance of what July 4th means to those who live in the USA, but also because July 4th is really like the last "barrier" (I mean that in the nicest possible way) to continuing down our journey towards autumn. I tell everyone that its going to feel different tomorrow.

I know it's only the fourth of July, but when cutting the grass yesterday, I noticed some signs of Autumn. Leaves are starting to come down a little more frequently, the Orb spiders are building their large webs, and the Crape Myrtle trees are molting (shedding the outer layer of skin on the bark). It seems early for these signs to be appearing. Maybe we're in for an early Fall and Winter. Maybe...
No. Actually it has not been but there are definitely more people today on the 4th. We use to go to the outer banks which was getting busier each passing year but we have switched to sandbridge VA the last few years and it is definitely less crowded and a little more isolated and away from Virginia beach which is nice.

Happy Post 4th! Today folks we move along and see we have 146 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 119 days left until November, and 58 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 8 days. That would be just over a week away when we reach the 50-Day Marker till The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest and now really into the hardcore part of summer. It’s kind of like when you move passed Thanksgiving you’re fully into the holiday season. That’s how today feels being fully into summer with the humidity increasing right on cue too. It’s Friday folks so let’s see below for today’s Fun Fact Friday!
Did you know the first-ever TV dinner came from Thanksgiving leftovers? In 1953 a worker at Swanson ordered too many frozen turkeys (260 tons too many to be exact), so a company salesman named Jerry Thomas had the idea to create a packaged dinner on aluminum trays. After an assembly line of women scooped turkey, cornbread dressing, peas, and sweet potatoes onto the trays, the TV dinner was born!

This is a very interesting fact and one that makes me wonder what caused the over order/under consumption?!?

I love the TV dinner story. At many times during my life I have always wondered how things got started. Somehow though, I'm imagining the first TV dinners to be more "healthy" than what we have today. And In case anyone needs an example of what I'm referencing, here you go:

Happy July Weekend! Today folks we move along and see we have 145 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 118 days left until November, and 57 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone being 1 week from today. It will be a special date on this site I’d like to think. It will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers and will begin the annual 50-Day Preview of The Bers. You’ll see that in the Holiday Hang Out if you’d like to follow along at that time. Right now though folks we move along here in our Quiet Weekend Period feeling good. And I hope all of you are ready for a quiet weekend after some loud fireworks the last few days. I’m definitely ready for some quiet time here. And in this thread we try to have quiet weekends. We have very busy weeks with 5 topics. And then we get to the weekend we unwind in this thread. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and enjoying your weekend. I hope you had a good holiday also. It was fun here. I definitely love summer and this time of year. Of course, eventually, when the time is right we’ll all be excited for The Bers. Right now though no turkeys in sight. But a fun weekend I wish for all of you starting today.
