D. I have a few odds and ends to take care of, including gift wrapping for dear wife. But the actual shopping piece is done!

(And by the way - I do all the Christmas shopping for our family. It’s the only time of the year that my lovely wife is thankful she’s married to a Christmas fanatic!)

B. Right on track. But if you ask Michelle, I'm an A, way behind. LOL.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 350
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 325
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 264

Happy Christmas Party! Today folks we move along and see that we have 350 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 325 days to go until November and 264 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with a big milestone today as we have reached the 350-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. This is big and ties into our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving, which happens this Thursday (and every Thursday) which stands at an even 50 weeks. I always say the count stays full and fresh until we hit the 50-week marker. And today is the day for this thread and this Thanksgiving Countdown. Turkey friends I hope your week is going well. Tonight, I’ll attend my annual work Christmas Party. It’s always a special day and always a fun one too. They do it nice here and during Covid even in 2020 we had a zoom one to keep the tradition alive. The best to you all here on this Thursday. Pretty much a fresh start here at the 50-Week Marker now till Thanksgiving. That is just amazing. And the last time we’ll ever say this again in this thread. Think about that. No more 50s after today until next year’s thread. Unreal. Of course, many of the other counts will take a lot longer but that’s a good thing for us to have tons (and tons) of time to enjoy. Have a great Christmas Party!

50 Thursdays from today will be Thanksgiving 2026! I agree with the weeks count being that "full". It's sort of a good feeling to know that the count is as full as it's ever going to be. I know technically we are on the way back to Thanksgiving but I think it really doesn't "feel" like that until after Christmas is over and it's easier to pass / mark the time. Trust me Thanksgiving is on my mind alot!

And I do hope our family gets to have a "second Thanksgiving" next month when John's G-tube comes out!

Have a great day, everybody!

Well time is winding down for the shop to shut down for Christmas break. I told the girls today that no new jobs are to be accepted if they cant get them done by next Weds. When we return it will be triple checking before the week in Tulsa for the Chili Bowl. Santa is hanging his tires with care this year, and checking on his sponsors twice..lol.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 349
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 324
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 263

Happy Dozen Days Of December! Today folks we move along and see that we have 349 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 324 days to go until November and 263 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone set to arrive in 9 days when we reach the Season of Winter. And it will begin the 3-Season long journey back to our favorite (by far) season known as Autumn. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

Pulling the wishbone from the turkey is a popular moment for Thanksgiving. The wishbone is called the furcular and the person getting the bigger piece is said to get their secret wish granted. It must be completely dry before you pull it apart. The tradition goes back to the Roman harvest festivals.

2 of my siblings do that on Thanksgiving. It’s fun to watch. I wonder what they wish for. I think if I won, I’d just vote for an amazing Thanksgiving next year. What more could someone want than that? Such a special day and that’s why we’re here all year talking about it. Have a great Dozen Days Of December!

Me and my Dad used to always pull apart the wishbone after the turkey was carved. I haven't done it now in a very long time. Maybe I can do it next month on our "extra" Thanksgiving!

Have a great Friday!

TGIF!! Better weather this morning, later I need to look for chicken wings for tomorrow. So I save my wishbones..I have around 12 yrs worth tied up on a string in the kitchen. Gotta remember there was a time I did 5 or 6 turkeys a year not including Thanksgiving Day. I have also kept every weight tag if it was available.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 348
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 323
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 262

Happy December Teens! Today folks we move along and see that we have 348 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 323 days left until November and 262 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving when Winter Arrives in 8 days. It will begin the 3-Season build back to our wonderful season of Autumn that this thread and Thanksgiving revolve around. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period and honestly, I need a quiet weekend to focus mainly on Christmas stuff. Fortunately, it seems I have that. This week was hectic and we had our Work Christmas Party which was special as always. But it was a lot of fun this week. Totally into the holiday season right now and I hope all of you are as well. Sometimes it takes a little time to transition but it just seems like we had such a long Fall/Halloween Season and once it concluded we pounced towards Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season. Everything seems to be moving along here as we are in total Christmas Time. The best to you all my turkey friends as we begin a very special weekend. I hope that you can make the most of it and enjoy your time this weekend feeling all Christmas feelings. Have a great December Teens!
