Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

Big time milestone eve today. We are standing on the doorstep to THE ROAD opening up tomorrow. I remember last year finding out that we were going to get discharged from having our Son on milestone day. How amazing it is to remember.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 161
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 100
Happy Memorial Day Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 186 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 161 days left until November and 100 days to go until The Bers. We have reached THE MILESTONE folks. We have reached the 100 Day Marker till The Bers. And that means we have begun our Summer Sweatfest (nevermind that it’s a chilly and rainy day out there locally). It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. The Sunday Group is heading to brunch today and back home to have coffee. We wanted to play miniature golf but the heavy rain this weekend has changed our plans. Hopefully we get to go one day this summer though. It’s amazing folks to be here on the day. It’s the day we enter the road back to The Bers. I mentioned this in the Hang Out today, but do you know when 100 days ago was? It was February 13th. That kind of blew my mind a bit because I suddenly realized how far off that was and that made me breathe a sigh of relief about The Bers still being far off. But no doubt we entered the road today. It’s exciting folks and I’m happy to begin the long journey with you this summer. I am excited to be here and happy we made it to this day. Have a great Memorial Day Eve!

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 100
Happy Memorial Day Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 186 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 161 days left until November and 100 days to go until The Bers. No seriously. I talked to Edge yesterday and I do agree that making the best out of each day is really what we all should be doing. And I also agree with him that if Summer flies by, The Bers might feel like they fly by too.
I have some stuff coming up that everybody knows about (Hospital, Surgery, recovery, etc.....) and in truth I think that might make June go by fast because so much is happening, but when I "resume" the summer, I really am going to try and enjoy every day just knowing that every day completed is one day closer to being back in the best time of the year.
I'm so glad to be here with all of you and I'm ready for another ride. Buckle up.

To give you some perspective 100 days ago was February 13th (which I mentioned) and that does seem like a long time ago...but also another perspective if these 100 days go fast that is the same time period as starting September 1 and winding up on December 10th!

We move along in our Summer Sweatfest Day #2 of 100 with our next milestone arriving on Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #6. Amazing friends. It’s Monday folks so time for our weekly YouTube Day below!

This is a long cooking clip but as soon within the 1st 10 seconds of it I heard her say “Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday” I knew I had to stick with that clip. We all kind of agree with you. But now you see we have a double digit count here. Pretty incredible, isn’t it? Things will start drying out and warming up which is expected as we now make the turn to Memorial Day and the days to come beyond. Memorial Day is early this year. Next year it’s late. Stay tuned this week for some talk about that in the Hang Out. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well. Happy Post Memorial Day! Today folks we move along and see that we have 184 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 159 days left until November and 98 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive the day after tomorrow. And you know when it’s a Thursday Milestone it’s often Tom Turkey Day. And it will be so this Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #6. That’s a big one friends and we all know what else that day represents. Halfway to Thanksgiving will happen on Thursday. Unbelievable. It’s Tuesday folks so time for our favorite part of the week which is Picture Day. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s pictures of Fall/Thanksgiving as we move into the Sweaty months starting to arrive. After a chilly and rainy weekend though I’m ready for some warm weather. And it looks like warm up here this week back closer to normal at least. It was about as rainy of a Memorial Day Weekend as I can recall even though we’ve had several over the years. Turkey friends I hope you had a great holiday weekend and are ready to embark with me here on this special week as we’re about to hit halfway. Exactly 50% of the way.
