DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 153
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 128
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 67

Happy Summer TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 153 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 128 days left until November and 67 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive on Monday. It will be the 150 Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below as always!

True or False: The first pumpkin pies were made in England.
Answer: True

Interesting. I didn’t know that the first pumpkin pies came from England. I really don’t know what I would have guessed but that’s a bit of a different fact today which is good because I enjoy random new information on Thanksgiving. We are passionate about Thanksgiving and learning various things about the history and origin of the most amazing holiday that we could ever have. Turkey Day known as Thanksgiving. The best to you all my turkey friends on this Friday. I hope your week is going well and that you enjoy your Friday on the first Friday of summer. Have a great Summer TGIF!

I love Pumpkin Pie! I could eat it all year long! Just like "Christmas Food" or "Thanksgiving Food", every time we serve it up on a special day, the feels are instantly there! Have a great Friday!

Huge pumpkin fan, here. I can see pumpkin pie originating in England. I’m glad that the recipe made its way over here to the States. Thanksgiving just wouldn’t be the same without a big slice of pumpkin pie (although I still don’t think it’s worth canceling Thanksgiving outright if the pie is missing).

Thankfully, pretty soon it will be Fall Preseason, and that’s early enough for me to start incorporating pumpkin into everything I consume, starting with coffee. Last year my wife made me a pumpkin coffee creamer with actual pumpkin puree in it, and it was the bee’s knees.

Happy Friday all! We are sitting at Williams Grove Speedway waiting for the start of speedweek. Kids already into the deep fried everything and lemonade. Merch is selling but the skyhigh cost of tires is eatting it up. We do have pumpkin cookies to offset the humidity.
Vroom Vroom!

I love pumpkin pie too and always have a piece for breakfast on Friday.

I love pumpkin pie as well. It's a must-have every year. And sometimes during the offseason.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 152
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 127
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 66

Happy Summer Saturday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 152 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 127 days left until November and 66 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive the day after tomorrow. It will be the 150 Day Marker till Thanksgiving. That will happen on Monday. Today folks it is Saturday so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. We had a busy week in this thread as always. It’s funny I had a 3-day work week really, but it felt like 6 just because so much is going on. And summer is our “slow” season usually so it kind of just tells you how things are there. Speaking of slow let’s hope the 2nd half of our year goes “slow.” Doesn’t it always seem to go faster than the 1st half of the year? What’s up with that? Nothing goes slow anymore but doesn’t January seem forever ago? But I bet on Christmas you’ll be thinking back saying wasn’t it just summer? But let’s hope we’re not in that situation this year. But again, you can’t control time. You can only control how much you get out of your time. That is my mindset/new saying I’ve come up with in recent months. I don’t know if I can copyright it though. Have a great Summer Saturday!

I'm ready for July. We are all in good health, something I was really worried about a month ago, and I'm ready to tackle the summer because I know the reward is coming in 60-some days. In fact I'm off some days next week and we might even be going out to the State Arboretum, and the Ginkgo Grove. It will be cool to be in there with the trees still full and green, just knowing that in a couple more months I'll be back there when the trees are that beautiful yellow. Even Abby asks me sometimes "when can we go see the Yellow Trees?"

Summer is here now. Let's Gooooo!

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 126
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 65

Happy Summer Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 151 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 126 days left until November and 65 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive on Monday. That would be tomorrow and it will be the 150 Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. I hope you all had a great 1st half of the weekend and the 2nd half of the weekend is just as good. If you want to read about halves check out the Hang Out today (and Monday/Tuesday). The Sunday Group is heading to the city for our usual awesome fun city trip. We’re stopping at our favorite bakery as always, trying out a new activity and then grabbing dinner on the way back to the train. This has become our normal type of city trip in the last several years, but they’ve increased for us in enjoyment and frequency. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well on this Sunday and that your weekend is going okay so far. Soon enough my friends we will be in the 2nd half of the year but do not rush it. I always say that somehow the 2nd half seems to go much faster than the 1st half. I hope to be proven wrong this year. Anyone with me? Gobble Gobble my friends. Have a great Summer Sunday!

This is a cute song and is a fixture on my November playlist. I do wish there were more “Thanksgiving carols,” but we’ve got to make due with what’s out there.
