• While it is the 'Bers, it'll be early October before we get much relief from the heat and humidity.
• My kids are grown and gone, so school doesn't really affect me anymore.

Around here the weather doesn't change till October. School started back at the end of July. The holiday months are ALWAYS ahead. But here in the land of the Tennessee Vols September starts a four-month religious high season.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 59

Happy Early September! We now have 84 days until Thanksgiving and 59 days until November. As we celebrate Day 3 of our Awesome Autumn, our next milestone—the Final Fifty until November—is just nine days away. For today’s Thursday Thanksgiving countdown, we’ve reached 12 weeks: a full dozen weeks of fall memories, beautiful weather, excitement, and more. That’s why September is the Sweet Spot. It’s still technically summer, with the entire autumn and holiday seasons ahead of us. Football season hasn’t even started, and Labor Day Weekend is still to come. I used to prefer an early Labor Day, but now I appreciate having more time to build up to it. Last year felt unusual because Labor Day fell on September 1, the same day The Bers began. Turkey friends, I hope you enjoy this special September Thursday. Thank you for being here and have a great day. All the best times are still in front of us and that is what makes September the true Sweet Spot of the year. It has everything in it and yet somehow keeps most of the big stuff in front of us. I hope you have a great Thursday and make the most of this day in The Bers. We waited 8 months to be here and let’s not waste a moment of it. Have a great Early September!​

It’s between A and D for me. The weather down here is still very summery, and my kids are homeschooled so we’re actually close to ENDING our school year (because they have classes through the summer so they can have October - December off). So I can eliminate B and C rather easily.

I guess I’ll go with D since we kind of saw football return in August, even if it was just preseason. It is nice having real football back, though.

I’m always shocked when the Bers begin by how close Thanksgiving is. 12 weeks does not seem like much time at all.

Happy Friday Eve! I know it's a holiday weekend coming up, but it really FEELS like it could be Thanksgiving or Christmas because my work is closing early tomorrow, something they usually only do the day before a BIG Holiday. I'm off almost a week at Thanksgiving. Christmas is the same way. This feels way bigger than "just" labor day!

I would make such a mess of this turkey if I cut it that fast. Fortunately, my brother cuts it while we watch this video every year of this guy who did a video on cutting turkeys. We always find it funny every year to see it. It’s one we saved on our phone from YouTube. But I don’t think we could do it in 3 minutes and 19.47 seconds. They really couldn’t round the seconds huh? I guess when you talk about world records, they must be exact. The best to you my turkey friends on this Friday. It’s an amazing feeling being in The Bers. Happy Labor Day Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 82 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 57 days left until November. Our next milestone is set to arrive next Saturday. It will be the Final Fifty till November. It’s Saturday folks so time for our 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And it was quite a crazy long week here but a great one. And I totally have been into The Bers this very (very) early season. My 2-week Bers Preseason really helped me out and made it feel like a longer beginning. It almost felt like those 2 weeks were treated as extra 2 weeks in September in my mind. Who would hate a longer September. Not me! I hope everyone is going to have a great holiday weekend. This is what I wish for all of you here this Saturday. The best to you my turkey friends. I hope you all enjoy your day as much as possible this Saturday. The week was crazy and busy, so I think it’s time for a little more fun and relaxation this weekend. Gobble Gobble to all of you on this long holiday weekend. It’s a big one that you need to enjoy and make the most of here early in the Bers. A great time of year to be a fan of turkey, Thanksgiving and all the good things involved. And the best part is that I am off on Monday, like I imagine most people will be. I'm getting ready for my engine swap in my old John Deere, and I am basically there. I want to clean out the engine bay this weekend, and re-address some wiring, but if I absolutely had to, I could put the new motor in tomorrow.
