We move along in our Stress-Free Spring (Day 2) with our next milestone arriving on Saturday with the 250-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. What’s your plans for vacation this year?
A.)I’m going on a long vacation (greater than 1 week).
B.) I’m taking mostly mini vacations (long weekends).
C.) I don’t plan to take much vacation this year.
D.) I’m saving all my vacation for Christmas.
I’m going with B. I like taking long weekends and plan to take 4-day weekends this year for spring and into summer several times. But I also already put in to take off the entire week of Christmas too. Fortunately, I already have that off which is still so special to be able to go around with my brother. I’m going with B. I like taking long weekends and plan to take 4-day weekends this year for spring and into summer several times. It's an A for me. We're going on an eight-day cruise in October with four other couples. I'll also take my annual week off at Thanksgiving and two weeks off at Christmas. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I'll take a few days off when our daughter comes to visit and when my mom comes to visit.
I'm going with "B"! I have a couple of long weekends planned beginning on April 3rd, and taking me through the 1st half of the year.
I haven't planned anything for the second half because Holly will be having surgery sometime in mid to late June, and I'll be off for a week then. I have plenty of PTO left so maybe I can squeeze some time in during the Fall.

I am doing a combo of A and B...I would like to take a couple of weeks off in the summer. And then sprinkle in some long weekends for late summer, fall and holiday season of course!
D but also something else. I always take about 2 weeks off at Christmas. We are closed half of that time so I only wind up using 4 or 5 vacation days. We are also taking a week off this summer but just staying a home a few days and doing day trips for the rest of that week. In Oct DH and are taking an extended weekend mini vacation for our anniversary and plan to go to NY. DH wants to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame on Cooperstown. I get 5 weeks of vacation but never use all 5 and carry over days each year.

I’m going to go with D this year, only because I don’t have anything planned vacation-wise at all yet. I really need to plan something, even if it’s small, because I’m beginning to go stir-crazy.
I am a mix of B and D. I like to take two "staycations": One over the fourth of July weekend, usually 5 days, and then a long weekend in October around Columbus Day and then everything else is for Thanksgiving-Christmas.

It’s Thursday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving. It now stands at 36 weeks. Can you believe that friends? We’re almost 33% of the way to Thanksgiving. And it’s hard to think that we’re heading in that direction. When do I use my offseason turkey? Do I do it in March? Unlikely. April? More likely. May? Nothing past that. I want to use it before that. I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far and making the most of it as we move along to a new day here on this Thursday. I wish you well my turkey friends and hope you are doing alright. The best to you all as we move along into the final day of winter. It’s been a really (really) long one folks. Just one week to go until Tom Turkey Day! And I'm so happy its the final day of winter!
This was the longest and coldest winter I can ever remember at 41 years old. Even my Dad thinks this might be the worst one I've lived through. We only ended up getting around 17 inches of snow, but we had over two weeks where it stayed below freezing day and night. Because of our low temps, the snow stayed around close to three weeks.
I am looking forward to Spring, and I hope that it is a nice long Spring, and it doesn't go straight to summer. We have already had so many (!!!) days that have been north of 80 degrees that it makes me really worry that it will be a short Spring. I hope not. Have a great day!
