DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 38

Happy Final Week Of September! Today folks we move along and see that we have 63 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 38 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with a big milestone day today. We have reached Tom Turkey Day #10. Wow. Rich will do a little turkey dance for us as is our monthly tradition. Our next milestone will arrive on Thursday. That would be 1 week from today when the month of October Arrives. Ahh the month I love the most in my heart. It’s Thursday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving. It stands at 9 weeks. We have entered the single digits folks. Pretty incredible that we started at 50 and now are down to 9. I hope everyone is doing well here in the very early stages of autumn officially. And making the most of The Bers. Some will say September has gone fast but I feel it hasn’t. Still another full week to enjoy of it and I do believe my Bers Preseason I did thanks to SS helped me get an extra 2 weeks kind of in my mind lengthening it for me. I'm with you Edge, September has moved along at a gentle, almost "slow" pace at times.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Bers PreSeason! It changed my life when I adopted it many years back.

Last night, I was really feeling in a Bers mood, so I texted my brother and asked him about Thanksgiving.

We started planning out this year’s family dinner. He and his wife usually host, but this year he’s going to have to work on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, so we’d have to have Thanksgiving a week early if they were to host again this year. So we’ll be hosting it at our house this year.

I’m excited for a couple of reasons — the first of which is because they will be driving down after my brother gets off work on Black Friday, which puts them here around dinner time. So I practically get two Thanksgivings in a row — one on Thursday like usual with us having dinner at my wife’s grandmother’s house with her family, and another with my family the very next day. Exciting!

The second reason is that I’ll finally get to smoke a turkey! I’m going to do a practice run beforehand, of course, but I can’t wait to finally one-up Popeye’s this year and make my own cajun smoked turkey at half the price of theirs. It’s going to be epic.

Happy Autumn TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 62 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 37 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive when October arrives on Thursday. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

Turkeys are highly social birds and often form flocks with other bird species, such as ducks and geese, for protection.

I always knew that turkeys were social beings. Don’t you see them the way they strut? They look like they want to go around talking to everyone. Or gobbling at everyone. It seems that way to me. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your day. The best to you my turkey friends on this Friday as we are about to enter officially the 1st autumn weekend. And guess what? DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 36

Happy Autumn Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 61 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 36 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive on Thursday. That will be when the month of October arrives. It will begin on the 11th and final month on the long build back to November. It’s Saturday folks so it is time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. Believe it or not, my friends, we are here and it’s not a quiet weekend for me. It’s a very busy weekend. But that is okay. There will be time to rest on Monday. Haha just joking work has been busy and will only get busier too. Good thing about couch time and bedtime. I always joke bedtime is one of the best times of the day. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and making the most of your weekend. It’s great to be in our Autumn Season and stare at everything still in front of us. The Big 3 holiday months and the 4th quarter of the year are still there well in front of us. Gobble Gobble turkey friends and I hope you make the most of your time everyone. DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 35

Happy Autumn Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 60 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 35 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive on Thursday. October will arrive then. The final month on our 11-month journey back to the wonderful month of November. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. This has been anything but a quiet weekend here to be honest. One of the busiest weekends of the year as my brother from San Diego is visiting. The Sunday Group will find out our fate of going to dinner and Pure Terror Park (a tradition) based on the weather. They’ll try to open, but will they? I’m hopeful but nervous about it. We may have to reschedule it if it doesn’t make it. Gobble Gobble turkey friends and I hope you make the most of your Sunday. How has your weekend been going? I hope that it’s been going well and that you are enjoying it as much as you can. I swear I think sometimes the November / Thanksgiving counts are sneaking up on me. Going into a 50's count tomorrow on Thanksgiving is blowing my mind, even though I've mentally come to grips now that Halloween will be here and I'll be starting a new thread in roughly a month. Sometimes even when doing these counts for years they still surprise me!
