My mother and I did test run of these two new Thanksgiving recipes this past sunday. The first recipe was Cranberry-Orange Roasted Turkey but instead of using turkey we used chicken. To me chicken and turkey taste just alike so I know this will be good when we cook the turkey. OMG this was so good I felt like a baby chewing on a chicken bone. Trust me you guys this recipe is a winner. :carve: The second recipe was Cranberry-Apple crisp. Best way to discribe this is a modern spin on grandma's homemade apple pie w/a crandberry twist. I definetly licked the bowl clean after I ate this. I got both of these recipes from my Taste of Home recipe book. This book is like my cooking bible. I definetly recommend this book to everyone. If you can't find the book check out the website tasteofhome.com they have awsome holiday cooking recipes and ideas as well as everyday cooking recipes. Checkout the website and book its worth it!

Silverbells,
Which Taste of Home cookbook is it? I have several TOH cookbooks and about 1499 others!!!

I love my taste of home cook books and magazines. Both of those recipes sound great!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds good. Yes, I agree, Taste of Home magazine is number one for great recipes. I love all the magazines the company publishes. Country Woman is my favorite but I also like Country and Birds in Bloom. Best part is no advertisements.
