With today being August 1st already, i can 't help but think about the upcoming months and the time of the year they bring...fall. I love fall and halloween. In the fall there is so much great baking to do. The weather starts to get chilly out, so having your oven on to do some baking, feels so good. And all the leaves start to turn their beautiful colors. I can smell the cloves and spices in the air already. Can't wait to start decorating. What are some of your favorite things about fall?

What I love about autumn (my fave season!)
- It gets darker earlier
- Indulging in warm fuzzy sweaters, hot drinks, and fleece blankets.
- The brilliant foilage
- Preparing for Halloween and Thanksgiving!
- Baking all kinds of yummy things, and the use of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.

Well lets see.. We named our little baby (now 2 months old) Autumn because its one of our favorite time's of year 
The cooler weather, beautiful colors, decorating, yummy candles, canning season (although I have already started this)... its just a cozy time of year I think... plus after Halloween means the kick-off for Christmas!!!
Cant forget the baking!! I have already made Pumpkin-Maple Butter and Pumpkin bread as well...

cheesyI love the Fall Season. My birthday is in November. I love the changing colors of the leaves, watching them fall from the trees, cooler weather, baking, decorating, new television series lineups, Halloween, Thanksgiving. It's just a pleasant and beautiful time of the year.cheesy

I love everything about,leaves falling,baking goodies,pumpkin and apple picking,carving pumpkins.breaking out the sweater i love,train rides,going to Santas village in New Hampshire(well christmas time is alot of fun too).and of course my Birthday is in Nov.then it leads into the christmas season which we all love!

The smells of course... cinnamon, orange, apples and pumpkin. The cool crisp scented air. The beautiful colors associated with the seasons, reds, golds, orange and deep greens. The beautiful leaves. Shorter days. The anticipation of Halloween. Baking delicious goodies. I just love it all! umpkin:

:cry:I love fall, but i wish we could have daylight longer. There is always such a change in the weather during the course of one day. The mornings always start out so cool, but then the day becomes so comfortable, especially when the sun is shining. I love all the colors that fall brings too. I love to decorate for all the holidays, and come fall, i enjoy decorating the inside of my house with pumpkins, gourds, and other halloween decorations. Another thing I enjoy doing is making soup. I love having homemade soup for dinner in the fall and winter months. I make biscuits and a salad to go along with it. My husband loves the smell of the house when he comes home from work.
Everything! How can I limit it? The sights, the smells, all the baking. Going to pick pumpkins. Bonfires. Hayrides. Costumes. Candy. Getting ready for the Fall Holidays. Decorating. Wearing warmer clothes. Watching the sun set early. Fall Foliage. Those beautiful scenic Autumn drives. Hot chocolate. Halloween and Thanksgiving. My Aunt & Uncle's Christmas Open House in November (they own a flower shop). I could go on and on...

Hey - I wanted to name our daughter (5 months) Autumn as well. But my husband vetoed it! I was so sad... I love that name!
Things I love about fall:
Football
Halloween decorating
the first cool front that blows in seems to clear everything out
but most of all - PUMPKINS! I crave, crave, crave roasted pumpkins seeds. I've tried buying them in the store to float me through the rest of the year, but they just don't taste as good as the ones I make. I LOVE roasted pumpkin seeds!
The changing of the leaves .Living here in Tennessee it's so beautiful to look down in the valley's and see "ocean's " of color.
I have a slightly different "fall" here in Florida. The weather is not getting cold (Florida cold that is) yet...almost not until end of November/December. I have no changing leaves.
But....
I love football season..GO COWBOYS!!!
I love painting my nails and toenails in fall colors
I love baking
I love watching high school football from the stands
I love starting Christmas crafts
I love starting to burn yummy smelling candles..especially baked apple pie!
