The photos don't do it justice. Everything was covered in ice and it was really sparkling.

Was in an ice storm in the 60s. The weight of the ice snapped power lines. No electricity for 3 days.

But everything does look pretty!

Maybe about 10 years ago there was a big ice storm in these parts. Lots of trees and wires down. I know of people who didn't have power for 2 weeks. Their houses sure got cold. I didn't lose power during that storm but after hearing about what co-workers went through I went out and got a generator for the house. Worth EVERY penny when the power goes out.

That's the one thing about living up north. I get to enjoy ice and snow sculptures. They are breathtaking.
