So it opens this week! (And no I am not going to see it, lol cheesy)

However, I am interested in all of the Twi Philes reaction to it. Are you going opening night.

The last movie broke the opening day record (http://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18279), will this do the same.

When you see, let us know how it is!

:D

many of my peers like it, read the books and can´t wait for this movie to be here in Germany......I am not one of them....can´t really tell why....but I hope all of You twilight fans will have lots of fun

My GF is a huge Twilight fan. She went last night to see it at midnight. She just left to see it again at the Imax.

Then she was talking about making me go see it with her this weekend. I can't say no we got an agreement that if there is a movie one of really wants to see bad the other one has to go with them. She lucked out I have great taste in movies.

LOL. I haven't a clue about Twilight except that we have a number of married 30ish women in our neighborhood who RENT out the ENTIRE theater and host parties every time one of these movies comes out.

My only other connection to it is the relentless bashing these movies get from my teenage children who have gone so far as to mock the bad acting of these movies in their own You Tube productions.

I am fortunate, my wife does not care for the movies & didnt like the books that much

My sister is obsessed with these movies, as is my best friend. They have gotten to know eachother now too and want to do a couples date night to go see the third one and then out to my favorite dueling piano bar. Well, I will not be left out of this, so I will finally be forced to join in on the Twilight band wagon. Just note - I will be kicking and screaming and not enjoying it the whole time. This is merely about self preservation and not letting my sister steal my best friend. ROFL - I sound like one of the teenagers throwing a drama fit, so maybe I do belong there.

I'm not a fan..although I have watched the first two..and will probably watch the next. I think it appeals more to teenagers especially teenage girls. I really don't see the appeal of Robert Pattinson either-and also there's a rumour that he's going to play Edward Scissorhands (remake) that makes me feel like puking! ... Anyway..there's a heck of a lot of Vampire stuff around these days

Where is the originality these days, can anybody come up with a new idea instead of all these remakes.

Hi, my name is Maureen, and I'm a Twi-hard!!

Love the books, like the films but I feel that certain actors can't act their way out of paper bags. Unfortunately, the 2 leads fall into that category for me

I went to the midnight launch last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. To be honest, the new director did a good job and the scriptwriter actually found a sense of humour as this definitely had laugh out loud moments which the others have lacked. The female lead (Bella) actually kicked it up a notch as well. She's not hit Streep standard yet but a noticeable improvement from the last one.
:))

This twilight saga is certainly a phenomenon that is swooning ladies all over the globe. What's the fascination with women and vampires anyway. To me, the coolest vampire around is the count on sesame street.

We are going to watch it on Saturday...I have grow fond of Kristen Stewart, I think she has a spark and I like the fact that she "seems" to not care and is layed back. I do hope she becomes a great actress.

There are no original ideals, everything is taken from some-where else ... or remade. We are stuck in a hole with movies and music at the moment.

I have never understood the big hoopla about these movies... couldnt even finish the first book... my oldest daughter of course loves them. They are not that good.

i read the series and liked it because I like the YA books. I don't like the blood and gore in the adult vampire series. I liked the movies somewhat. Loved watching Jacob! Edward looks awful in the second movie. My 8 year old thinks Jacob is the most gorgeous thing on the planet. I went to the opening night of the 2nd movie, but that was crazy! Will probably wait for the DVD to come out.
