Well I have never realy decorated for fall but I might this year. Probably the first day of fall. then October 1st out comes the halloween stuff :D

I'll put out my fall stuff next week sometime after the kids go back school (25th) I need to restain the porch and paint the house. But I want my stuff out so I'll put it out then have to take it back down and then put it back up!!

I put my fall stuff up around the middle of September but I always put my Halloween stuff up the first Saturday in October.

I start usually first week october in the bar area then 2nd week is outside graveyard
Then week before party I take off work and set the rest up.

decorating for fall

I will decorate for fall/autumn as soon as we're settled in our new dwelling in Lafayette, LA.
I'm anxious because I saw the fall decorating aisle at WalMart the other night!! I wanted to go shopping but refrained myself.:pumpkin:

I am going to wait until October 1 before I start my outside decorating, I lucked up on some 4 foot tall blow up yard tombstones after Halloween last year---I bought all I saw for only $1.25 each!! I really need to sit down and plan my layout.

I decorate for Fall the weekend of Labor Day usually. Just depends on how busy I am that weekend -- if not it's the following weekend. I do lots of apples and leaves for September -- and then the first weekend in October I add my halloween decor. I can't wait!! :pumpkin:

wow that was some great prices Wantabe!

Its raining here today so its making me want to decorate even more....

We'll put out a few fall type things around the second or third week in September and we'll put out our Halloween things at the beginning of October.

We don't decorate all that much for Halloween simply because we don't have the storage space for all the decorations. Just one more reason why I can't wait until we get out of this tiny apartment and into a house. THEN I'll go nuts for Halloween as well as Christmas!

I decorate Oct 1st, but it is hard to get into the spirit of fall/Halloween when it is still hot here in Texas. I miss living up in northern climates where the leaves change, the fall weather turns to about a crisp 40 degrees, and you can burn a bonfire. Here in Texas, you leave a pumpkin outside for a couple of days and you're left with a disaster, unless you love attracting fireants and other pesky bugs.

I'm going to start the autumn/Halloween Decorating about the 2nd or 3rd week of September. We've gotten a head start on the Door wreath for this year! DD, she's 3, and I are going to make some fun decorations in September and October for the house, so I guess I'll be decorating and playing all the way up until Boo Day.

These are the reasons I love Washington :) We have ALL the seasons

I really wanted to decorate for fall today but this week it's going to be in the 80s here and I just couldn't. But DEFINATELY this coming Saturday -- 80s or not! :pumpkin:

We dont really celebrate Halloween here in Ireland.

We always give the kids treats that come aroung trick ir treating but thats about it.

I came on here to ask the same question! My husband said "as long as it's just FALL, not Halloween, put 'em up whenever!"

I think I will do it this weekend. WOOOO!
