Best of Christmas Podcasts 2022
We are pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Best of Christmas Podcast winners.
Just as we did for the Best of Christmas Podcasts 2021, we surveyed podcast listeners and Christmas fans by the thousands from around the world – both online and offline.
For two months we narrowed the field through open nominations.
Out of more than 400 suggestions we received votes for four months through online surveys here at MyMerryChristmas.com, through private polling online via popular podcast platforms, and offline through in-person surveys and phone calls.
After tens of thousands of votes, here are the winners of the Best of Christmas Podcasts 2022:
Best Christmas Podcast – Sleigh Bells & Mistletoe Christmas Podcast
Now a two-time winner, this general topic Christmas podcast by Rikki Meese and Mary Richards covers all things Christmas with good cheer, guest experts and deep dives into the modern and nostalgic Christmas. They simply cover all the Christmas nobody else even thinks to cover. The enthusiastic fan base of “SBMX”, as many lovingly refer to it, were by far the most outspoken online and offline about their passion for all this podcast offers.
Christmas Community Choice – Can’t Wait for Christmas Podcast
Winners of this recognition for the 2nd straight year the Can’t Wait for Christmas Podcast by Tim Babb carried the year-round Christmas community vote by a landslide. Recognized in both online and offline surveys, this long published and consistently entertaining podcast delights with good humor, selected guest experts and themed episodes to satisfy a broad spectrum of Christmas enthusiasts.
Best Christmas Movie Podcast – Tis the Podcast
Anthony, Julia and Thom have now brought us extensive conversations for hundreds of episodes covering Christmas entertainment on screens large and small. These guys are consistent, a ton of fun to listen to and when it comes to entertainment this is one Christmas well that never runs dry.
Best Christmas Foods Podcast – Seasons Eatings Podcast
Food is such a huge part of Christmas – and we all have our favorites! In this podcast by food professional Glen Warren all of your favorite Christmas foods are explored in their origin, history and many varieties. Now several seasons in publication this podcast has established a strong following anchored by a long-time Christmas community favorite.
Best Christmas History Podcast – Christmas Past Podcast
For the 2nd year Christmas Past by Brian Earl sweeps the Christmas history category. Nationally recognized and now the author about a new book covering – what else? – Christmas Past, this podcast is a favorite for fans of Christmas past and present.
Best Christmas Music Podcast – Sounds of Christmas
Recognized last year as the Best New Christmas Podcast the Sounds of Christmas is back and dominates the Christmas music category. Ken Kessler, Christmas music nut and long-time radio professional , uses his knowledge, contacts and deep library of music from Sounds of Christmas-the-radio station to produce this podcast dedicated to the tunes of Christmas.
Best New Christmas Podcast – Christmas Morning Podcast
Counting down to Christmas is perhaps one of the greatest of Christmas traditions online and in this new podcast by Bran and Scott publishes year round but goes daily right after Thanksgiving with your daily dose of Christmas.
Christmas Cheer Award – Totally Rad Christmas
Totally Rad Christmas officially obsesses over Christmas of the 1980s but honestly there isn’t a part of Christmas host Gerry Davila does not embrace, celebrate or enthusiastically talks about. He’s funny, he’s warm, he’s engaging – and he’s infectiously all about Christmas.
