Merry Sunday friends!
It finally cooled off here, it’s going to be cloudy with temperatures in the mid 70’s. We’re currently at 67 degrees, I have the sliding glass door open in the back of the house and the cooler air feels nice. The kitty cats are bird watching and loving it. I’m just having a cup of coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I fried meatballs and have a pot of sauce simmering. Dinner will be lasagna. Not too much else going on here, it should be a relaxing day. My oldest & her fiancé will be here for dinner so I’m looking forward to that. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
I wish we had weather like yours! It was 97° yesterday until a terrible thunderstorm cooled things to the upper-80's LOL.

Enjoy it!

Hi friends,
Enjoyed catching up with you all this weekend, sounds like the cooler weather will be making its way over soon! I've been very sad this weekend... My sisters 17 year old springer passed away this weekend, she was like our second dog we often watched her while they were out of town. Even though she was older she loved chasing Gandalf around, they were best friends. We will miss her so much and I know Gandalf will too. Today i'm defrosting some cookie dough from the freezer and bringing them over warm cookies, flowers, and I made some prints of the dogs playing together. My little nephew who is 5 really misses his pup too.
I'm sorry for your sister's family's loss. It's always a difficult time.

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!

We spent the day yesterday moving Jacob to his new place near the college. Nancy held up better than I thought she would. He's moving in with a couple other guys in a house not far from campus. The house isn't all that special, and his room is pretty small, but he is super happy LOL.

Actually, he's been crashing with those guys 4 to 5 nights a week anyway, so it's not like he's suddenly gone. All the same, there was something weird about walking past his bedroom door this morning, knowing he doesn't live here now and probably won't again. Life goes on, eh?

He says he's coming to lunch at Mama's today. We're lucky his school is only 30 minutes away!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Don’t be so sure about Jacob not returning home. Our two moved out, and both of them boomeranged back in a few years time. It is tough to see them leave though.

My SIL had woken up earlier this week with some abdominal pains and after awhile, the pain kept on getting worse and worse to the pint where she asked my brother to take her to the hospital. At the hospital, they discovered that she had an 7" diameter tumor on her one ovary. They operated on her yesterday (Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore) and removed it successfully and while also she had a hysterectomy while they were there.

The great news, is that it was not cancerous. She is in the hospital recovering, but doing well and is in good spirits.

Glad to read she's going to be OK. fingers crossed for a quick recovery.

How scary! So relieved to hear that the surgery was successful, and that it wasn’t cancerous. Prayers for your sister in law, and your brother. Prayers for healing and a smooth recovery.

I’m very sorry for your loss, losing a furry family member is so hard.
Keeping you, Gandalf, your sister, and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending hugs to you all ~
Love the picture, so sweet ♥️

Happy Sunday, Brad!!

Glad to hear that the move went well for Jacob, and that you and Nancy are doing pretty well ♥️ Thinking of you guys!

Enjoyed lunch at your Mama’s!!
Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!!

Good Sunday afternoon, friends!!

Hope you’re all having a nice weekend so far~

Harlowe & I have been having a great time in my hometown, with family.
My cousin‘s baby shower was beautiful yesterday. And as always, lots of laughter ensued!!

Last night, my Dad grilled out and my sister came over to join us. Harlowe and Jazzie enjoyed the time exploring the backyard, and chasing squirrels.

It’s another hot and humid day here, but some rain tomorrow is supposed to bring in a cool down. Fingers crossed.

I am seeing a few trees leaves already changing! While I love that in some ways, I really want a long fall so I am hoping that still happens.

Once we get back home, we plan to spend some time with Adrian and also take a long walk later this evening, once it cools down.

Wishing you all a relaxing rest of your Sunday~

Weekend. Part II is here, Friends!
I hope it has started out well for you and will finish even better.

This might help in that regard:
Days to the Season: 86
Days to Christmas Day: 128

And if that doesn't do the trick, our latest Milestone data surely will.
Because we are now down to UNDER a week away from the 2/3 marker to Christmas Day!
(Time is flying away like dry leaves before the wild hurricane, Folks.)

Well, I completed all of the yard work I had planned yesterday before a hard early evening rain began to fall, accompanied by rolling thunder. More fell overnight.
Today might be rainy as well, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
We have commenced activities here in the capital city very damp, at 73 degrees.

Hey! Halloween Zone is just about to open at Crabtree Valley Mall, as we edge ever closer to the holiday season. (See photo posted above.)

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody!
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Thank you, Crown! Have a merry week!!

Been radio silent for a little bit. Busy with work. Today, though, one task is getting some bread made. I think honey oatmeal loaf is in the works. I have to mow the backyard and if I have time I'll make some cookies. Chocolate chip is the default 'cause they're quick and delicious. :)

Picked up some school supplies to donate. One of our local charities collects supplies and makes backpacks for children whose families may have a tougher time preparing for the new school year. That way everyone can have a fresh start with brand new supplies.

I remember feeling a little excited sitting in class with my new pencil case, usually cloth plaid, having all my pencils sharpened. I was eager to start. I think that feeling is similar to the joy and excitement of Christmas. That's why I donate supplies. It's my way of giving the same Christmas excitement to someone who may not have the chance.

Your house must smell amazing with all the baking you are doing!
That is real nice of you to help stuff a backpack ~ I'm sure the recipient of your donation is going to feel just as you described you did! :)

Have a merry week!
