Merry Wednesday!

More rain fell after I last posted yesterday so I think the total was around 3/4". Yay!! It was a good soaking rain, but I don't know if it will make a difference in the level of drought this area is experiencing.

Have a merry evening!

Prayers for your Dad. Please don’t over extend yourself. Things will get done in their own time. Take care.

HMG I’ll be keeping your father in my thoughts. And you’re already a Superwoman, don’t try and be SUPERwoman, take care of yourself through all that is going on this week.

Keeping your father in my thoughts and prayers, HmG~ sending hugs to you ♥️
Don’t forget to take good care of yourself.
Hope all goes well for your daughter with preparing for the move.
xx

HMG, so sorry to hear that about your dad, I sure hope that the test results come back with good results. Take good care of yourself and your pops, and don't worry about the house, it will be there, when you have more time.

Prayers for your Dad, HMG! My Dad has had heart issues so I know how scary it can be.

Sending a prayer for your dad's improvement!

Prayers for your Dad! I hope it turns out to be something very minor! xx
Take care! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts & prayers too!

Keeping all of you in my prayers.

Keeping your father and you in my prayers, HmG. Sending love and strength your way. {{{HUGS}}}

Thank you so much dear friends. Looks like my father will be in the hospital for a few more days so they can run tests and figure out what’s going on. I will definitely keep all of you posted.

You're welcome! So glad Harlowe is doing pretty good!!

Today was beautiful. The humidity was down and the dew point was 48 ~ it was very chilly this morning. Loved it!

Thank you! Palmer and I are having quite a nice evening. She was just sitting next to me, purring non-stop. :)
I hope you, Harlowe, and Adi have an even nicer evening! xx
Thank you, M!
xx

Glad that you had such a beautiful, crisp day!

Hugs to sweet P-Cat!!

thank you SF, I love your countdown and the picture. Gosh, it’s so hard to realize that we’re only 9 days away from the start of the ber”s. I’ve been so looking forward to this all year.
I know, it seems like this last month has really flown by.
The scent of Autumn is definitely in the air. I have the patio doors open and the fresh air feels great!

Morning MMC. We have a bit of an early Bers Preview here with the weather too. Low 60s and low humidity this morning. Fresh air feels good. Been a humid summer. 4 days off for me but today is being spent with the mechanic putting new brakes on my car and going to the dentist for a minor filling that needs to be fixed. Have a great Thursday aka Friday Eve!

Good Morning, Over-the-Hump Holiday Chasers!

Past the peak-of-the-week we are indeed, and cruising in toward the pending weekend.
But our next Milestone is doing more than cruising. It is rushing up on us like a scared reindeer.

Here are today's figures:
Days to the Season: 82
Days to Christmas Day: 124

And that onrushing marker?
Well, it's the TWO-THIRDS point to Christmas Day and it's now only TWO days off.
(So close, you could almost reach out and touch it with a short candy cane!)

Well, that 20 percent chance of rain yesterday happened, as we had a bit of a downpour in the late afternoon.
Today, at last, shows a 0 percent prediction. (And that will be a welcome change!)
Our current temperature reading is 65 degrees here in the capital county.

Have a Thrilling Thursday and an Exciting Expectation of Weekend Eve tomorrow, Folks!

Thanks Crown! These milestones (like this summer) has just rolled forward so fast this year!

What's the temperature up there around your way this morning? Has the daytime temps up there been lower lately? Is this the time of year (month) that you typically see and feel a shift in your weather pattern where you are at? Here at the office, it's around 65 degrees, off and on showers, feels humid.

There isn't any signs of fall yet around these parts, but I know it's a coming around the corner.

Good morning everyone. Oh yes, it's so nice to be on the downhill side of the work week.

This morning, as I was having my first cup of coffee at home, I looked out my back window and there were 3 young does standing there, munching on the grass and our hibiscus tree leaves. They looked very healthy and beautiful. Watched them for about 10 minutes before they went back into the woods. Yesterday morning when I left the house, there were 2 turkeys just standing there in my neighbors front yard, watching me drive by. I'm totally just loving the wildlife around here. And how about that bear that outside of my office, huh? Now that, was pretty awesome!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I went back to my brother's house to help him move his furniture back in after his new carpet was installed. Boy, he has some heavy furniture! I had to dip in the pool again last night when I got home. LOL

The boss is out of town today, and, I have to say, it's nice to not have a staff meeting this morning. I can knock-out my first few cups of coffee, and get started on the job quicker...AFTER the coffee. ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! This morning is colder than it was yesterday but with no breeze it feels much warmer! I got a load of laundry hung on the line this morning & another one in the washer to hang at lunch. Beautiful day!!

Just work for me today. Lucy was supposed to go to the groomer yesterday but she texted & asked if I would bring her today instead...my hubby is off work, so he is going to take her & I'll pick her up! :) I need to pick up a few groceries after. And tonight I think is finally a night of NO PLANS!! It's been a busy week, so I'm looking forward to that!

Had a good time last night with my high school friends. Everyone (except our friend in Georgia :p) was able to make it. I was home around 10:30 so that's not so bad, but I feel sleepy today!

Everyone, have a wonderful day!!!

Nice. Do you pressure cook them, or blanch and put them in freezer bags? I used to watch and as I got old enough, to help my grandparents for many years put up jars of tomatoes for the winter. She would blanch them, peel the skins, put them in the jars, add I think a little salt and then put them in a large pot for them to boil in for awhile. Afterwards, she would put the jars on the dining room table and as they cooled, I could hear the lids popping; sealing themselves. I thought it was so cool.
I have to say, in the winter time, I would go down in the cellar with my grandfather and to see all the jars of veggies, fruits and pickled items, it was beautiful! In away, with all the red from the tomatoes and the green from string beans and such, it had a Christmas feel to it!
I never thought of canned tomatoes & green beans looking like Christmas!! :D Excellent observation! :)
