Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good foggy morning MMC!! TGIF!!! I was surprised to open the blinds & see so much fog this AM! It's starting to clear up now. Our school is on a 3 hour delay!
Just work for me today ~ tonight I stay with mom. Tomorrow morning I'll be heading to the lake. We're watching the Bucks on the big screen tomorrow night (weather providing!) And I'll be back at Moms Sunday morning until Monday morning!

We have some excitement going on at our house today ~ this is our current situation. Who wants to try to park a vehicle in the garage???



The neighbors you see in the back ground are also getting a new driveway, so by now that's probably all busted up too!! Double wammy! My hubby is having a blast today!!

For me it's been a strange week. I just got home from the funaral of my neighbour and friend Nathalie. And sadly there will soon follow an other one for my uncle.

Continuing to pray for those effected by the storm! Today will be 95 F outside and muggy.... I hope it won't be another Christmas in the 90's this year. Not much going on today, just finishing up some work and then relaxing later!

Just a quick note Folks, as the storm approaches.
There is a good chance we could loose power here. If I have not posted the count by about 11:00 or so tomorrow morning, it probably means I can't.
An "Emergency Counter" will hopefully be able to step forward to pick up the fumble and keep the count advancing until our power gets restored.

Good Thursday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I just got back from a trade show I had to attend today. We had a tour yesterday morning, then we departed for the show near Atlanta. It wound up being an outdoor event, and I've been standing in the 90°+ heat and humidity all day in my khakis. Yuck!

I have a golf tournament on Monday, and I expected it to be cancelled with all the rain we're expecting from Florence, but no. I have images of Caddyshack in my head. "Rat turds!!"

Thank you everyone! Today she is back to her normal self. She is upset that I cant really wash her hair too much and that I keep telling her to be careful. No one at school noticed, which made her feel at ease. Next week I will have to take her back to the ER to remove the staples as our pediatrician doesnt have the tool needed to remove them. I hope everyone is doing well

I hope Caroline continues to feel better every day!

Unfortunately Lucy is liking going to the groomer less & less!! She is fine with it - but she doesn't like her nails trimmed!! The groomer said Lucy SCREAMS with every nail she trims!! So yesterday she gave her a treat after every nail & she stopped screaming after the 1st 2 nails. Little stinker!!!! Spoiled rotten!!!

My father is doing better, thank you for asking. Thankfully he responded well to the new medicine dosages, hopefully that continues. We appreciate the prayers Snowflake and I’m sending them back your way!

Merry Friday MMC ~
I’m just having my coffee and I’m watching the news. I’m also working on a menu plan and grocery list. Typical day of errands and chores. I’m heading to the butcher and pasta store this morning. I also plan on going to Hobby Lobby and Bed, Bath & Beyond later this afternoon. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. I’m going to straighten up the house and clean the floors as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. We’re grilling steaks for dinner with roasted potatoes and a Caesar salad. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

My thoughts and prayers are with Crown and everyone else, who is and will be effected, by Hurricane Florence and of it's soon to be tropical components of that storm, that will eventually head North/ North East.

Friday once more, Thank you Lord! For some reason, this week, sure did feel like an extremely long and grueling work week. Part of it is that it's been raining here practically every single day. Come to think about it, I do not believe the sun has been out here in Connecticut all week. I'm looking forward this weekend, to just sleeping in a bit and not having to be on any schedule.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

We went to the first night of The Addams Family Musical last night, and it was great! Elizabeth's part on stage was in the background, as a ghostly ancestor that dances and sings with the other ancestors. She was also the choreographer for the production, and all of the dances were, in my unbiased opinion, brilliant! There were waltzes, a tango, tap dance scenes...it was great! We're going back tonight and tomorrow night.

Lunch with Mama today.
