Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
I've really been working hard this week. Most of the other admin staff has been out for varying reasons, so I've been scooting from one desk to another, trying to make sure something doesn't fall through the cracks.
I also found out yesterday that there been some water damage at my mom's vacation home. She spoke to a contractor, then she asked me to handle it. It's 300 miles away! It looks like I may have to take a couple days off to inspect the damage and approve whatever corrective action is needed. We'll see what happens.
Other than that, it's still hot here (75°F at 7:30 this morning), but hopefully this is summer's last gasp.

Sigh ... I am not patiently waiting for our first frost as I am hoping it will help kill whatever it is that is triggering my allergies. Plus the first frost makes it feel more the holidays are that much closer
Oh I can barely wait to hear snow in our forecast but that wont be for many more weeks yet. Enjoy but be careful in that commute.
Good afternoon ... a tad bit warmer today but got another cold front moving in later today ... really think I will have to turn the heater on tonight just to keep the chill at bay. Was really trying to hold out until closer to the end of the month but I think it will be too chilly for my mom to handle. Trying to get some major cleaning and reorganizing in the house done in the next couple weeks so I can shift my focus to Thanksgiving and Christmas
One of the better part of the year is smoke from burning bushes/branches or even woodstoves. Best part of fall!
Good afternoon everyone! My husband and I took a drive into Amish country today. Such beautiful scenery. We went to a farmer's market and picked up apples, onions, homemade noodles, some yummy baked goods, and lots of cheese. We also picked up 4 pie pumpkins to roast tonight to add to our freezer. Plus, since it has been so cold here, we picked up 3 white pumpkins that we will turn into a snowman for our Christmas decorations. We have only been able to do this one other year because the temps are usually too warm and the pumpkins rot before Christmas. But, with this cold weather, I am pretty confident that we can save them and create an adorable snowman out of them! I hope everyone has a great day!

It's a quiet night for us. Carolina had kids clubs at church tonight and then I had to go get her birthday snack for school tomorrow. Right now I am waiting for her to fall asleep so I can clip her nails and try to remove a splinter. Until then I will just be reading.
Tomorrow I have to go order her cake after work for Sunday. Sunday is her actual birthday and we are having cake for family then

Gosh, one of my favorite nights of the year. We all had so much fun. I remember the time I called my parents to tell them about it...and they were sleeping. Great times, precious memories.
So, I got some wood put aside for the fire pit this weekend, hoping we get to roast marshmallows this Saturday. There is a change we will get to mid-30's Saturday night...which I'm fine with. I'm really ready for yard season to be over.
Looking forward to tomorrow night...Charlie Brown and Toy Story of Terror comes on and I can't wait to watch with girls. We are going watch and eat pizza....almost a perfect night.

But, had a lovely time there ofc
Also visited the Dunnottar Castle (I love castles)
I also bought a bunch of Christmas cards for this years Christmas Cards Exchange. Cant wait to sit down and write them ♥
Busy morning here, with kids getting ready for school
So I have a five minute break here with my coffee
listening to Christmas music coming from the kitchen radio
My son (one of my twins, soon to be fifthteen) also loves Christmas
as much as I do. He decorated his room with christmas lights last month
And everytime I hear that he plays Christmas music it puts a smile on my face ♥
The best time is now! So we better enjoy it.
Because before we know it, it's January!
