Merry Monday...back to the grind!! Looks like we will have a cloudy day and maybe some rain. I woke up at 4:30am and could not go back to sleep....I will need some extra coffee today for sure! Just work for me today and hope you all have a good day!

I did the exact same thing yesterday!! Woke up at 4:30 - tossed & turned, but I sure could have slept when it was time for the alarm to go off!!!

I'll be off to vote, then lunch, then job #2 soon. Everyone, have a great day!!! Don't blow away!!! (we've dropped 5º since this morning.)

Most of mine are over half done & large afghans! It would pain me to unravel all that work!! ;) That is awesome what you do for the homeless shelter!
Maybe you could finish them off smaller, as "lapghans," and donate them to a local chemotherapy infusion center. Those places are always cold! I sometimes make lapghans with leftover yarn and drop them off a few times a year. (I have some in Christmas colors to take in December!)

Good Election Day afternoon, Christmas Friends!

I’m traveling for work this week, but I voted earlier last week. Win or lose, I’ll be glad when this is behind us!

Just had a turkey panini in my hotel room, now if have to go back to the conference.

I hope y’all have a great day!:D

Happy one week until the Christmas Season, everyone!!

I know you're all just as excited as me for the Season. The world is starting to welcome Christmas. Colours are everywhere. Soon, bells will be ringing and carolers will be singing. It will be wonderous for all.

I can't stay long. I only have enough time to check-in and out quickly. Teaching is consuming my life, once again. I hope you are all doing fantastic.

I have a busy week ahead. Report cards are due next Tuesday. Plus, I will be traveling home to Sault Ste. Marie on Friday night, then driving to Green Bay on Saturday to watch the Packers vs. Dolphins game at Lambeau Field. The Packers really need to turn around their season.

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday. I look forward to - hopefully - being able to countdown with you all in real-time next Monday evening. We are soooooooo close!

View attachment 51552 Good morning, MMC! Not much planned for today. Now that I’m decorated and have the main cleaning done, I think I’ll try and get my bedroom done today and start going through what presents I’ve bought so far. I also have my niece today, but DH doesn’t go to work until 430, so that helps. I work tonight at 11, but am on call from 7-11, if they need me to come in.

I started a new thread in Christmas together - share your Christmas decorations! Can’t wait to see everyone’s! Hope you all have a warm and great Tuesday!

Enclosed is a pic of my tree for a sneak peak!
So, that's what a completed Christmas tree looks like...Nicely done.

I haven't been able to get ours completed the last three years for various reasons. It cheers up and brightens the room, but it could be so much more. Maybe this year...

Good Morning, MMC!! It’s going to be a windy dreary day here in Central Indy. They are saying it could feel like January next week too. I don’t know if I’m ready for that. Mom has a neurologist appointment today. Other than that, I’m just going to work on some cleaning. Then at 6pm, I’m going to turn on the tv and hope for Christmas commercials instead of campaign ads. I hope everyone has a great day!!

I'll be in Indy Thurs-Sat for Bands of America and it looks like it's going to be cold. I'm glad Lucas Oil Stadium is enclosed!

I sure will enjoy Christmas commercials over campaign ads and robo calls. I early voted, so it hasn't mattered to me for a couple of weeks.

A kink in our Christmas traditions this year. My uncle & aunt can't come for Christmas night since they don't drive in the dark anymore. We were trying to find another time (maybe a Sunday afternoon) between Thanksgiving & Christmas to spend some time with them. Then my brother sent Mom a text that he is scheduled to work Christmas day. He started a new job yesterday & just got his schedule. We usually have Christmas on my side of the family on Christmas night. Things change & we have to change with them. It's harder to get everyone together when there are three kids with families of their own & you have to account for their time with in-laws too.

I got maybe five hours of sleep last night (I need at least eight). At 3:45 a.m., Hyper Reach started sending phone calls & e-mails about severe thunder storms, then about a tornado warning. When that happens we have the following: my cell phone rings, DH's cell phone rings, we both get a text, the house phone rings, and now that DD has a cell phone, she got a text, but no call. The person who had her number before her must have signed up for the alerts too. DD slept through it all, but DH & I might have gotten 30 minutes of sleep at a time between 3:45 & 6:00. Extra tired today & we have a birthday dinner to go to for one of our nieces tonight.

I was so happy to see the Holiday Baking Championship started up again! I love getting ideas and inspiration from that show! The Christmas Cookie Challenge started again too! Love that one also!
I like the Christmas Cookie Challenge as well. But there have been so many reruns of past shows on a loop on Food Network Canada this week that I didn’t even know that the new season started.

Praying you can and thank you! I always put the less valuable ornaments around the bottom, especially this year due to my niece and new puppy, but some of them are ornaments the kids have made, so I hope no one destroys them!

Hope you have fun this weekend!! One of these years I’m going to get down there for it. I was in the marching band for one year in high school and I swear that the practice and rehearsals we did for it was harder than football or wrestling.

At least once you get downtown, there are plenty of walk ways to get you around without having to go outside.

Our traditions are changing too. It’s looking like it’ll only be me, mom, and my aunt this year.

Hope you can sleep better tonight!!

Good evening all! Getting ready to head in to work shortly. I got a call a little bit ago, saying there was a call off, so I’ve got head in and do 12 hours.

Not much planned in the agenda for tomorrow. I think I’ll turn on Hallmark and just relax!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day!

Merry Tuesday!

The voting precinct was packed today as there is a recall election going on for several township officials, but I was still in and out in five minutes. Took the scenic drive into town and the brown, russet, and deep maroon trees looked absolutely beautiful against the dark grey sky. :)

The wind might have calmed down a bit, but it sure has gotten cold. Only going to be in the 40s the next few days and one station even said there could be snow flurries. :shiver

Be merry!!
