I'm glad I was there last Thursday instead of today!
It's been cold & rainy here for four days now. I'm so behind on housework from having a long vacation weekend. Sunday we slept in after getting in bed around 2:30 a.m. after picking DD up at school after the BOA trip. DH & I spent Monday buying Christmas gifts for DD. Tuesday night was a funeral for DH's great-uncle & an aunt from out of state spent the night with us afterward. Last night was church. Tonight & tomorrow night will be spent catching up on things at home. DD has Junior Clinic tryouts this Saturday (percussion). We don't expect her to make it, but it will be a good experience for her. She's practicing everyday & we've told her to just do her best! I'm doing all I can to keep from getting overwhelmed at home.
Thinking about all of you who have gone through death & sickness in the family in the past week. It stinks anyway, but especially during the holiday season. Speaking from experience as we buried my grandfather on Thanksgiving Day when I was eight years old. November has been a bad month for death in our family.

What parts are you from? I grew up in Baltimore county (Perry Hall) then moved to Carroll County (Westminster).
Haven't been here for a couple days – just wanted to pop in and let you all know that we had to say goodbye to Mom yesterday!She passed away around 4 PM. She's in a better place!
Holiday, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope that you and your family will find comfort in each other as you gather to say your final goodbye's. Rest assure, she is in a much better place now with our Heavenly Father.

This morning we had ice, now it has turned to rain, expecting snow for most of the day. I hope it turns to snow soon as I am cleaning carpets and getting ready to put up my sunroom Christmas tree. Going to need some extra lights in the house on these dark nights to make me smile!
We have to meet with the funeral director this afternoon and then the priest after. We are figuring we will have her viewing Sunday afternoon and her funeral mass Monday morning. I'm glad she is no longer struggling but it stinks.

I grew up in College Park, moved to Laurel, and now live in Elkridge (about 8 miles SW of Baltimore).
The Mrs and I take the occasional drive up to Westminster to dine at Baughers. Love an old fashioned family owned restaurant.

Good afternoon ... I keep getting up from desk at work to look at the pretty snow outside. Our first snow fall of the season. They called for a coating to 1 inch and switching over to rain by now but we have over 2 inches outside now and its still snowing pretty hard. We expect to see the change over to rain in the next hour .. Rush hour is gonna be a mess. I just wish I was home listening to Christmas music and baking cookies. Hope every one has a great day and stay safe.

Check out Jingle Boss Radio on Live 365. While the playlist isn't as varied as Kringle Radio, they do have a nice mix and live air personalities. The most recent cuts included Amy Grant, Dean Martin, TSO, The Temptations, Eric Clapton, Mariah Carey, Bing Crosby, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Buble.
