I had my doctor's appointment Wed morning. My NP told me that my cortisol level (which the stress hormone), is low and that my vitamin D is low. She said the doctor that is in charge of the practice didn't think my cortisol level was low enough yet to worry about and is hoping that with changing to daylight, that will help. I started on medicine this past week for my vitamin D level. She is still worried that all the symptoms I've been experiencing are being caused by something, so know they are testing me for Lyme's Disease.

Anyway, I went home from work and laid down for nap, roughly around 1130 or so, then not too long after lunch, I woke up, very out of it, muscle stiff, had vomited on myself and I realized what had happened. I had a seizure. Thankfully DH was home, so I texted him as well as I could and he came in to the bedroom to check on me. He tried to get me dressed a little better and get me to walk, but I was limp and weak he had to call 911, have a ambulance transport me to the ER. They took me by request to where I work. There I had a few more seizures according to my co-workers and DH, so they gave me a few different meds to stop them. They ended up transferring me to the hospital back by my house, admitted me to the neurological floor, and put me under stroke and seizure precautions. I was so out of it, speech was slurred, and was also acting like a stroke, that we weren't letting me do anything except lay in bed. I had a CT scan of the head and an MRI brain, which were both negative, but also had an EEG to look at my brain activity and it was showing current seizure activity. They started me on a new seizure medication that I'll take twice a day. I was discharged this morning around 11. I'm feeling a lot better, just really tired. The neurologist said that I have to be off work for a week, so now I won't be working this weekend or Christmas. The worst part about the situation is that I lose my license for 6 months.

I have a history of seizures and haven't had one for 12 years or so, so last year, I was weaned off my medication. I started a new medication a few months ago and he said between that, lack of sleep, and stress at work, it's what caused it.

SO....anyway, that's been my last couple of days. I go back to work next Thursday and then I'll be off again I think for 5 days. I look forward to just resting, enjoying time with my family, and getting myself better.

I know a lot of you need prayers right now, so believe me, I'm saying them! Hope you all are having a great Friday!

I felt the same way yesterday. Counting down the hours at the office and finishing up the last bit of work this year while listening to Christmas music.. such a nice feeling!

Good morning! I have a pretty busy day ahead. My daughter has an appointment for her final bridal gown fitting, can’t wait to see her in the dress again. The wedding is less than two weeks away now. We also have to take a ride to a boutique to pick up a bridesmaid jewelry order that came in. I have to make a big food shopping trip at some point. I also have to stop at a restaurant for three more gift cards, then I’m officially finished Christmas shopping. I plan on organizing gifts later tonight and hopefully start wrapping. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

I am working 4 to 12 tonight and tomorrow night. I think I have everything wrapped, just need to have my dad check to see if there is one more toys r us bag in the attic. We built the dreamhouse last night and had to take some of it apart to hide it. My dad said we will put it all together on Monday night and then drape wrapping paper over it. I am so excited for her to get it. I hope everyone is having a great final weekend before Christmas. If you are traveling anywhere I am praying for your safety

Sounds like you will be busy, but I hope you enjoy doing it. I can't wait to see pictures!
 
It is a cloudy day, looks like rain. Not cold enough to snow.

It does not look like we will have any snow for Christmas. They have been saying we might see snow light flurries or snow showers on Christmas day, but nothing to stick.

I am hoping our tree can hang in there for a few more days. It recently stopped taking water. It still looks good though.
