Merry Christmas Eve!
I am working today but it will be a laid back day with not too much going on..
We woke up to a light coating of snow and it is lightly snowing now...so pretty!
I need to run to the grocery store later for a couple of things but it will be a quick trip.
We are still trying to decide what Christmas movie to watch tonight...maybe Polar Express not sure??
Hope you all have a great day and night!

"The eve of Christmas, a wondrous time,
when love is the reason and love is the rhyme.
The eve of Christmas when spirits take flight.
That once a year night before....
that once a year Christmas Day."

(From The Man in the Santa Claus Suit.)

Well, one final Good Morning before Christmas arrives, my Friends.
The long wait is nearly complete.

Days to Christmas Day: 1
(Um.....that would be tomorrow, Folks.)

The cooler weather has set in but it's not really cold. In fact, it provides a nice seasonal backdrop for the season!
Right now, we have started off here at 43 degrees with lots of promising sun!

Have a Marvelous Monday and an Exemplary Eve of Christmas, dear Friends.
Thanks for counting down with us for yet another year!
May today and tomorrow be everything you hoped for and more.

Well it was an eventful evening here. My 83 year old neighbor called and said he had fell. He hadn’t just fallen, he had split his head open. I walked into a bloody mess. The next few hours were spent getting him to the hospital since he didn’t want to take an ambulance and trying to get a hold of his kids. They ended up having to transfer him to one of the trauma hospitals with a small brain bleed since our local hospital doesn’t have a neurosurgeon on call to monitor him. He shouldn’t need surgery but they don’t want to chance it just in case. We went through this all a few years ago with mom when she had a brain bleed with one of her strokes. So I tried to walk his family through what will most likely happen over the next couple of days. I know it’s not how they wanted to spend their holiday. Hopefully he’ll get out on Christmas Day though if they follow the same timeline as mom.

You're a great friend and he's very lucky to have you! Prayers for a full recovery for him.

Good morning all!

Here it is, Christmas Eve! I love Christmas Eve, it is such a wonderful day. Tracking Santa, last minute wrapping, a little cooking, watching Christmas movies non-stop through the day, driving around to look at Christmas lights, preparing cookies and milk for Santa, and spending time with the family.

Here in a bit we will go pick-up donuts for tomorrow morning. That has become a tradition within just the last few years.

I am still in shock that it is in fact Christmas Eve!
Everyone have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

My dad just got back from Dunkin Donuts with our donuts for tomorrow. Merry Christmas

I was sharing a memory of O'Malley the cat when he was younger and thought I'd share it with you 'cause he's so darn cute sometimes.

One of the funniest things I recall about my big fella was when he was a kitten; it was the time he thought he was sneaking into the cupboard. He dragged out a stack of paper plates that were clearly bigger than his wee orange body at the time. He dragged them down the hall toward his room (our guest room was never for guests - all cat).
He kept checking to see if we were catching on and we were just watching and giggling at the sight of him dragging it quickly down the hall, trying to be so coy and yet obvious to us.
Finally, a few minutes later, I went to see where he was stashing them because I didn't want him to chew the plastic. Well, I found them under the bed, well sort of. I discovered he had chewed a hole in the lining of the box-spring mattress and was trying to get them up the hole.
Well, I found a plastic spoon, a card from a neighbour that we never received (must have slipped it under the door), a pencil, a eyeglass case (I was blamed for misplacing it - I blamed it on a ghost), I can't recall what else was stashed away. Little thief.

Wish I had caught that event on video, but if I had reached for the camera, it never would have happened and I may not have discovered his hiding place.
Have a fun Christmas and Happy New Year with your furbabies, from O'Malley the King of all feral cats and I.

Merry Christmas Eve, MMC family! Hope this all finds you well. This is probably my favorite day of the year. DH is busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast for tomorrow and making some cupcakes for the kids dessert as well.

DH has to go to work around 3:30, but my parents will be coming in and we will be going to mass, which the kids our singing in the church choir. After that, my entire family, will go to Outback for dinner. That's become a tradition in our house. We'll come home - the kids will open their Christmas Eve box - inside is new pair of Christmas pajamas, popcorn, hot chocolate with new mugs, a Christmas movie and a book to read before bed. We'll put cookies out for Santa and snacks for his reindeer. For the first time ever, we're also going to be placing the kids shoes at the fireplace, so Pere Noel can put treats in their shoes, as well as Santa placing treats in their stocking. I know essetinally it is believed to be the same person, but I try to expand the kids knowledge of Christmas and other parts of the world. My mom is staying for the next two days, so we'll stay awake as late as we can, watch Christmas specials, and snack on cookies.

Tomorrow will be very laid back with lots of family time and presents. DH works again tomorrow at 330 pm, but we'll cherish the time together. We're not having a huge meal because of so, but we're doing French onion and Italian wedding soup, ham and cheese and French onion dip sliders, cranberry salad and homemade cheesecake. I'm really looking forward to it!

God Bless you all and enjoy this time with your family. Remembering my grandmother today, as she passed away many years ago on this date. Remember, Jesus is the Reason!!!

My Mom, Doc, and I were talking the other day about the profesinos that don't get off on the holidays. Firemen and nurses....professions that are truly a calling.

Thank your husbad for his sacrifice.

I hope you are feeling ok. Merry Christmas, friend!

FD7BF8B7-B340-490B-88C1-4E17AA22E1E9.jpeg Hi everyone. I’m totally mellowed out. There is nothing like Christmas Eve. We’re going to early church then watch A Christmas Carol. Tomorrow my best girl and I will exchange gifts then brace ourselves for an invasion of four little ones ages 3 through 7 and their parents. More gifts and yelling and screaming but peace, gratitude, and love fills our hearts. Blessings to all of you.

Just got back from picking up donuts.

We got a dozen and then noticed they had eggnog donuts! Henry and I love eggnog flavored everything, but since we had already picked out the dozen, I decided not to get them. However, my wonderful wife told the lady behind the counter to put two of the eggnog donuts in a bag because Henry and I had to have them. So, we ended up with the eggnog donuts! My wife is so amazing! It it those little things that make life and love so special!

Christmas Eve! How did that happen? I can't quite realize it. I hope everyone here will enjoy it and cherish it.

Doing last-minute things today, making a few stops and topping off the gas tank. Later this afternoon and tonight it will be Christmas movies until midnight! Last night we watched "It's a Wonderful Life" on our new wide projection screen.

I will and thank you so much for saying so. I was supposed to work 5 days over the holiday, including today and tomorrow, all 12 hours, but with being hospitalized last week and everything going on, the neurologist won’t let me work.

Thank you for the kind words. Today has been the best day yet and I’m coming along. God Bless you guys and Merry Christmas to you, Doc, the girls, and the rest of the family!
