Thanks Crown! You will soon get a rest from the Count until New Years Eve wont you? Then we begin the long trek into a whole year again.
Quite true.
In fact, my sister and I will be visiting my niece in Charlotte at some point during that week between Christmas and New Years.
(I won't need a substitute counter this time!)

It's just turned Christmas Eve here and bed calls. Tomorrow will be the usual hectic preparation and last minute shopping but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I watched Pinocchio's Christmas and the Muppets Christmas Carol last night.
That is a very festive gift.

Just got finished a little while ago making the gingerbread houses, now we're sitting watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Good evening all! DH and I just sitting watching some Christmas specials together and taking it all in. I can't believe in just a few short hours, it will be Christmas Eve! The next couple of days are going to be so exciting and I am really looking forward to it! Hope you all are having a great evening!

Well it was an eventful evening here. My 83 year old neighbor called and said he had fell. He hadn’t just fallen, he had split his head open. I walked into a bloody mess. The next few hours were spent getting him to the hospital since he didn’t want to take an ambulance and trying to get a hold of his kids. They ended up having to transfer him to one of the trauma hospitals with a small brain bleed since our local hospital doesn’t have a neurosurgeon on call to monitor him. He shouldn’t need surgery but they don’t want to chance it just in case. We went through this all a few years ago with mom when she had a brain bleed with one of her strokes. So I tried to walk his family through what will most likely happen over the next couple of days. I know it’s not how they wanted to spend their holiday. Hopefully he’ll get out on Christmas Day though if they follow the same timeline as mom.

Praying for your neighbor. Glad you were able to help him

Merry Christmas Eve! I just got home from work and I'm laying in bed. My boss got each of the managers a gift. She also got one for Carolina which she will open in the morning. In the morning I'll be quite busy delivering cookie trays to our neighbor since she made us a huge batch of rum balls. I hope everyone has sweet Christmassy dreams
