I just found out I have to go in 2 hours early today as one of the cashiers called out for her shift today. If I dont go in early the manager will be by herself and it has been mobbed the past few days.
Carolina is at her sunday school Christmas party right now.
Tomorrow nights childrens Christmas story is being told by Star Wars characters. I am trying to convince Carolina to go to that one but she is insistent that she wants to do the candlelight service
I'm not a child but I would go to the Star Wars Christmas story for sure. Hope these last few days at your work weren't too exhausting. Enjoy the candlelight service and a wonderful Christmas Eve with Carolina and your whole family.

We had some mild weather last week, but last night it got cold and today was chilly. Last night, I plugged my car in for the first time in two weeks. This morning someone had taken our 4 port power outlet and my cord along with it, yet was kind enough to plug my husband's chord into the main block, I found that odd, but slightly caring; I can't plug in tonight. Not a problem for my vehicle as it shouldn't dip down colder than -18 tonight. I hope that was a Christmas present for someone.
I guess I'm picking up a replacement tomorrow. I'll get two cords and keep a spare in the trunk just in case.
Have fun at with your family.
What a rude (yet caring?) thief! Stay warm AuntieMistletoeDear and enjoy your Christmas Eve :)

Well it was an eventful evening here. My 83 year old neighbor called and said he had fell. He hadn’t just fallen, he had split his head open. I walked into a bloody mess. The next few hours were spent getting him to the hospital since he didn’t want to take an ambulance and trying to get a hold of his kids. They ended up having to transfer him to one of the trauma hospitals with a small brain bleed since our local hospital doesn’t have a neurosurgeon on call to monitor him. He shouldn’t need surgery but they don’t want to chance it just in case. We went through this all a few years ago with mom when she had a brain bleed with one of her strokes. So I tried to walk his family through what will most likely happen over the next couple of days. I know it’s not how they wanted to spend their holiday. Hopefully he’ll get out on Christmas Day though if they follow the same timeline as mom.
Your neighbour was lucky to be able to reach you after his fall, I hope he has a fast recovery. Head wounds always bleed so much, I've had to deal with that with a couple of employees over the years. That was so kind of you to give his family a head's up on what to expect next. Here's to a less "eventful" and a great Christmas Eve for you and your neighbour's family made.

Good middle-of-the-night Christmas Eve! I woke up at 2:20am and couldn't fall back asleep. Hopefully I will sleep a little more before work today. Our supper at in my in-laws last night was great, with delicious food and lively conversation. I am counting down the hours till 5:30pm when my work day will be done and David and I can enjoy a quiet Christmas Eve spent watching movies cuddled up under blankets on the couch.

I'm wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve Morning and Santa is already preparing to drop off his surprises in Australia. I have a friend visiting her brother there and a few merry chums who live on the other side of the pond who will get to unwrap gifts before I do. I find that very cool.
Back in 1999 when the clocks were due to roll over into 2000 and there was a panic about what would happen; I tuned into Australia's New Year's Eve and it was a success and nothing spooky happened.

I have two more sweet drop offs to do today because the OPP admin office and my mechanic were closed when I attempted to deliver over the weekend.

I'm leaving Santa a small apple pie and the reindeer can help themselves to O'Malley's cat food - if he doesn't catch them.
+j Do you leave treats for Santa and the reindeer even if there are no children in your home?

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Christmas Eve!
I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I have to head out in a little bit to pick up a few things at the bakery. I’m waiting on one more gift that’s supposed to arrive today, hoping it gets here. We’ll spend this evening with my in laws and tomorrow with my side of the family. I can’t believe it’s here, I’m very excited! I hope everyone is well and has a beautiful day!!!
xoxo

Merry Christmas Eve all. I have to work until 6, so everything will be chaos for those last minute shoppers. Start prepping for tomorrow's big meal. Most of the sweets are done, but I may whip up some more cookies tonight.

Have a safe and happy Christmas all.

Greetings my merry friends ...+k Santa Claus comes tonight!

Looking forward to visiting with my brother and a small selected few who will drop over to my dads place tonight; we're lighting luminaries again; some say it's a runway for Santa's Sleigh, others say it's to light the way for the Christ Child; however you view it, the candles lining the snowbanks up both sides of the street are always calming and bright.

I was thinking back to last year, after my bittersweet visit with my mom, brother, dad and the next door neighbours. I was brushing off my car as it warmed up and I could hear Silent Night playing in my ears like it was right outside. It was. Turns out a man (did not recognize him) was playing Silent Night on his harmonica while admiring the candles lit up along the street. I wondered for a moment if he was really there. When he finished playing, he said, "Merry Christmas!" I said, "Thank you for the music; Happy Christmas to you."

Christmas is a magical time of year. One of my co-workers who has two young sons who accompany me on my Relay for Life Treks around the track all night in June gave me a beautiful ornament. I had given her boys each a gift as I have since they were born and often for Christmas in July as well. Finally, after 5 years, they're calling me "Auntie" like the tags say.

Jody dropped off a wonderful photo of her boys hugging a snowman; very festive and also gave me a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ornament with Rudolph and the Snowman (voiced by Burl Ives) and it plays the song on a record player. I had seen one on FB and shared it on my page asking Santa to deliver because I've been so good this year (in my opinion). She saw my post and worked hard at getting it through Hallmark.

The Nello Williams design is great and I already have the Alvin and the Chipmunks one so they will be happy together. There's another Rudolph one featuring Hermey and Rudolph, I might grab that one of these days, but I'm glad she got me the one with Sam the snowman for my connection to Burl and the song by Gene Autry sounds good.

Tonight or tomorrow morning my brother will make his shoulder tattoo of Burl sing "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas"; that's always good for a laugh.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. +d

Oh wow, Made...that is quite a night. He was lucky to have you there. Hope you have a great Christmas Eve, Made!

Hope your work day passes quickly! I am working today too but will probably end a bit early..it should be a quiet day.

Good morning all!

Here it is, Christmas Eve! I love Christmas Eve, it is such a wonderful day. Tracking Santa, last minute wrapping, a little cooking, watching Christmas movies non-stop through the day, driving around to look at Christmas lights, preparing cookies and milk for Santa, and spending time with the family.

Here in a bit we will go pick-up donuts for tomorrow morning. That has become a tradition within just the last few years.

I am still in shock that it is in fact Christmas Eve!
Everyone have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

-merry-
