I will and thank you so much for saying so. I was supposed to work 5 days over the holiday, including today and tomorrow, all 12 hours, but with being hospitalized last week and everything going on, the neurologist won’t let me work.

Thank you for the kind words. Today has been the best day yet and I’m coming along. God Bless you guys and Merry Christmas to you, Doc, the girls, and the rest of the family!
Oh gosh...I missed you were in the hospital!
I am so sorry to hear this and hope you are better soon!
Did they find out what was wrong? Have a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve, MMC family! Hope this all finds you well. This is probably my favorite day of the year. DH is busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast for tomorrow and making some cupcakes for the kids dessert as well.

DH has to go to work around 3:30, but my parents will be coming in and we will be going to mass, which the kids our singing in the church choir. After that, my entire family, will go to Outback for dinner. That's become a tradition in our house. We'll come home - the kids will open their Christmas Eve box - inside is new pair of Christmas pajamas, popcorn, hot chocolate with new mugs, a Christmas movie and a book to read before bed. We'll put cookies out for Santa and snacks for his reindeer. For the first time ever, we're also going to be placing the kids shoes at the fireplace, so Pere Noel can put treats in their shoes, as well as Santa placing treats in their stocking. I know essetinally it is believed to be the same person, but I try to expand the kids knowledge of Christmas and other parts of the world. My mom is staying for the next two days, so we'll stay awake as late as we can, watch Christmas specials, and snack on cookies.

Tomorrow will be very laid back with lots of family time and presents. DH works again tomorrow at 330 pm, but we'll cherish the time together. We're not having a huge meal because of so, but we're doing French onion and Italian wedding soup, ham and cheese and French onion dip sliders, cranberry salad and homemade cheesecake. I'm really looking forward to it!

God Bless you all and enjoy this time with your family. Remembering my grandmother today, as she passed away many years ago on this date. Remember, Jesus is the Reason!!!

It all sounds fantastic; enjoy!

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! Been listening to Kringle Radio an eagerly waiting for this little bug and her parents to come over this afternoon!

She's too cute for booties! Have a great time.

Made, good job, brother. Hope your neighbor is ok.

Thanks, Friend!! I just talked to his daughter and the CT scan this morning showed the bleed hasn’t gotten any worse. So he should be released tomorrow. That’s the second time he’s fallen in a week though. So hopefully they figure out why he’s getting so weak.

My Mom, Doc, and I were talking the other day about the profesinos that don't get off on the holidays. Firemen and nurses....professions that are truly a calling.

Thank your husbad for his sacrifice.

I hope you are feeling ok. Merry Christmas, friend!

I dropped off a box of assorted shortbread to the Anishinabek Police who oversee the safety of six reservations in the area. I never delivered to them before because I don't live in any of the clusters, yet I see their vehicles on the HWY when I'm travelling a few times a month for work.
I went to deliver them and got stuck on the ice and couldn't get out of the driveway. Nobody was inside the station at the time, the main door is unlocked and there is a bell to ring for service and a number to call listed on the wall. I guess it works by pager like my grandsons fire station being somewhat rural.
I phoned the number wound up talking to the local OPP and explained my situation and the fact I was concerned that my car was blocking their garage and one cruiser. Giggles emitted from the dispatch officer, who offered to reach them on a separate line. It wasn't an emergency so I told her not to bother them, afterall, I wanted them to enjoy some family time.

I walked along the road, not far, saw a few people in a yard that were securing a snowmobile to their truck. I approached them and started to explain my situation. I recognized the older man and asked him if his name was Brian. It was. He recognized me at that point and I reached out for a hug; his older boys were watching this unfold when I reminded him how we knew each other. Eighteen years ago I took care of one of his boys with Autism. He remembered me quite well and his other two sons hopped into the truck and we headed up the road a bit back to my vehicle stuck in the parking lot. He grabbed some salt from the side of the building and tossed it about and then I put the car in reverse as far as I could go to get level and the three of them pushed me up the hill. I pulled over and got back out and gave them a box of Godiva chocolates; one of the treats I had intended to bring over to my dads tonight in case company stops by.

Just as I was getting back in my car, a service truck with a plow pulled over on the other side and asked if everything was okay; guess I wouldn`t have been stranded too long. My battery for my cell phone was running low and I never could have waited on Christmas Eve for CAA to arrive to tow me out of there. Glad I didn`t hesitate to ask a stranger who turned out to be the father of a boy I remember fondly, for help. His son taught me as much as I taught him.

Before I drift off to sleep tonight, I`ll add Brian and his family to my thoughts and prayers for helping someone in need.

Keep a merry thought in your head.
I`ll try to pop back in later tonight when I am tracking Santa. -santa-

I was sharing a memory of O'Malley the cat when he was younger and thought I'd share it with you 'cause he's so darn cute sometimes.

One of the funniest things I recall about my big fella was when he was a kitten; it was the time he thought he was sneaking into the cupboard. He dragged out a stack of paper plates that were clearly bigger than his wee orange body at the time. He dragged them down the hall toward his room (our guest room was never for guests - all cat).
He kept checking to see if we were catching on and we were just watching and giggling at the sight of him dragging it quickly down the hall, trying to be so coy and yet obvious to us.
Finally, a few minutes later, I went to see where he was stashing them because I didn't want him to chew the plastic. Well, I found them under the bed, well sort of. I discovered he had chewed a hole in the lining of the box-spring mattress and was trying to get them up the hole.
Well, I found a plastic spoon, a card from a neighbour that we never received (must have slipped it under the door), a pencil, a eyeglass case (I was blamed for misplacing it - I blamed it on a ghost), I can't recall what else was stashed away. Little thief.

Wish I had caught that event on video, but if I had reached for the camera, it never would have happened and I may not have discovered his hiding place.
Have a fun Christmas and Happy New Year with your furbabies, from O'Malley the King of all feral cats and I.

That O'Malley is an adorable Rascal! Love the stories about him that you share with us!

What a great picture ~ she is a cutie!

Well it was an eventful evening here. My 83 year old neighbor called and said he had fell. He hadn’t just fallen, he had split his head open. I walked into a bloody mess. The next few hours were spent getting him to the hospital since he didn’t want to take an ambulance and trying to get a hold of his kids. They ended up having to transfer him to one of the trauma hospitals with a small brain bleed since our local hospital doesn’t have a neurosurgeon on call to monitor him. He shouldn’t need surgery but they don’t want to chance it just in case. We went through this all a few years ago with mom when she had a brain bleed with one of her strokes. So I tried to walk his family through what will most likely happen over the next couple of days. I know it’s not how they wanted to spend their holiday. Hopefully he’ll get out on Christmas Day though if they follow the same timeline as mom.

Thank God you were home when all that happened to your neighbor! Keeping him in my prayers!

All ready for my first Christmas as a grandfather! Can’t wait until they get here.
The place looks great and your little one looks soooo happy! I love it when babies smile like that. Have a great Christmas as a grandfather!

The children's StarWars themed Christmas service was cute. Carolina giggled a lot. After we went back to Mikes parents where she got to open gifts. She got a Frozen Castle and 2 of the Frozen Disney Animators collection dolls. I am just waiting for her to fall asleep so Santa can come. She is laying in bed looking at books. My dad and I will reput the Barbie house together again tonight. It will go together quick since we didn't have to take it totally apart to hide it. I am so excited for her to open it tomorrow morning.

Merry Christmas and God Bless all my Christmas friends

Did they find out what was wrong? Have a great Christmas!

I had a seizure, with several more at the hospital. Until I fully awoke and for a full day, they had me on stroke and seizure precautions, due to the fact I had stroke like symptoms too. I have a history of seizures, but I hadn’t had one in 10+ years. They changed my meds around and I was there for 2 days. I’ve also been tested for Lyme’s. I’m waiting back on the results for that.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
