Good Morning, Last Day'ers.
<< "Last Day'ers", Crown? >>
Yes. Last day of the first week of 2019.

And it's also the last day of a double-digit count to our first Milestone marker of the new year.
Days to the Season: 310
Days to Christmas Day: 352
Yes, our first number clearly confirms that, as of tomorrow, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 300-day Season Window, succeeded immediately by the start of a 200's level Season count.
(Barely started the new year and already we have some excitement in the air!)

Pleasant weather here yesterday. No rain, plenty of sun and highs well into the 60's.
It will be chilly today, then warm again for tomorrow before cooler weather sets in on Wednesday for possibly a prolonged stay.
We start this first full week of 2019 at 44 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!
Thanks Crown! Have a great 1st Monday of the year!

Merry Monday!! We have a chilly day out there and they are saying maybe a little snow tomorrow. I am taking my youngest daughter to the Dr today, she has been complaining that her legs and arms have been sore, it sounds like it could be joint pain. She is getting really anxious that there is something really wrong with her, I feel so bad for her. I initially thought it could be growing pains but once she said her arms too...I am not sure.
Just work for me today and I need to catch up on laundry.
Hope you all have a great day!

Are there any Greek Orthodox Christians on here this morning? If so Merry Christmas!!

Happy Monday, MMC!! I hope everyone had a good weekend!! I spent 4 hours yesterday visiting with my neighbor at the rehab facility he got transferred to. They have him doing 6 hours of therapy a day. It sounds like he’ll be released from there on Friday but they don’t want him to be come home and be alone. So I’m not sure where he’ll be going next. Nothing to much on my agenda today. I might go check and see what Christmas stuff is still left out there. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Jacob and I got a chance to go fishing again after lunch yesterday. We didn't get one in the boat, but we had a great time with the bites we got, and it was a lot of fun spending time together on the pond.

It's a BEAUTIFUL day here in south GA, sunny and 75°.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Well...there went The Sounds of the Season: Holiday! That is always, ALWAYS, the last thing to go. I work nights, so when I got home last night it was still on past 1 am. But I woke up this morning and it's now The Pulse. It's kind of fun to note that the holidays aren't fully over until the Sounds of the Season: Holiday is no more. It also kind of makes me have a grudge against Pulse music for always pushing Christmas music out of the way every year.

Has anyone ever actually seen it transition from a Holiday song to a Pulse song? I've had it on while not paying attention to it, where when I had it on initially it was Holiday music, and then when I turned my attention to it again it was Pulse music. It's impossible keeping an eye on it every minute to try and see. I've also tried DVR'ing it when I know I'm going to be away and it's going to transition, so I can see that exact moment it does, but I guess Music Choice sets it up where you can't really do that it and allow for it to rewind as you would normally when you go back and watch it.

Anyways, I feel like the first Monday of January is always the day everybody collectively kind of decides it is officially no longer holiday time in any capacity whatsoever. So here we are!

Now it's just about seeing who keeps up their decorations the longest, and how long the discounted Christmas stuff stays out at stores. Ugh, I can't stand Valentine's Day. Not the way most people hate it, but because it makes Christmas no more, once and for all.

Have a good week everybody!

Good afternoon, all! Just finally settling down here, since I got home from my appointment and got the kids helped with their homework. My appointment went well. The neurologist wants me off until I see my family doc on January 17th and then she will re-evaluate me from there. I know here original plan was to have me off until the first week of February, because she was hoping by then, my meds would be balanced out and that would give me enough of time to be rested up and get everything back on track. I already have a planned vacation last week of February and I never, ever call off - this is the first time I have called off in 5 years, so I think it is legit.

Anyway, not much planned for tonight. We just have to get the tree down yet. DD has private baton lessons for 30 minutes, but other than that, that's it.

I hope you're all having a great day!

Glad the appointment went well. Continued prayers for a full recovery.

I think they set it up to end on whatever song they start the season with Noodle. So say Jingle Bells is their 1st song of the season, they will play Jingle Bells as their final song then it will turn into Valentines music on the very next song. I use a few streaming stations that play it all year so I never have to worry about it changing.

"Merry Monday" MMC! It's so dark & dreary out today - after 3 days of sunshine!! I hung clothes on the line both Saturday & Sunday - that's almost unheard of in January!! I'm not saying I love it, but the opportunity was there! ;) I was bummed to wake up this morning to hear "regular" tv shows on HMM! :( And then I got home from work to no Christmas again. Booooo! So I turned on a DVR'd Christmas movie! :)

I guess we are heading to Florida next month!! My whole family (siblings/spouses) are going to be there at the same time. REALLY looking forward to it!! We are all staying different places, so we'll have to work out plans... a lot of other local people will be there at the same time as well, including my in-laws who are there until April - should be a big ol shin dig! :D

This is my 1st full week at the new job. My hours have been set for 8-4 with a 1 hour lunch Monday thru Thursday & then 4 hours on Friday! I will like that much better than 8-5 with a 30 min lunch. That just wasn't enough time to get home & let my Lu bug out, eat & get back. Never mind when she has a grooming appointment. They were also very cool with me going to Florida next month, so that's huge! :)

Everyone, have a great evening!!!

Here's my Lu bug after her grooming! ♥

My wife has me going to a wedding.

A wedding.

(Just know, brother, that I am trying to use my wisdom in this situation...knowing that you shouldn't "poke the bear." A lot more of times, I do a really good job of picking my battles. I'm trying real hard to decide if this is one of them. My judgement is cloudy on this one...any advice?)

Good morning, friends. Hope you all are having a wonderful start to your weekend. Mine is off to a nice start.

We made a decision to "cut the cord" to our cable TV yesterday and start streaming. After all of the expenses of start up, we could save almost $120 a month. We have really been debating it for a few months and thought we might as well take the plunge. With a trip to Disney coming in November, we will need all the extra cash we can get. We don't watch too much TV. Usually, it is just there for background noise or on a cartoon. Doc and I sit down after the kids go to bed and we might watch 30 minutes to an hour a day. Now, football is different. I will watch sports...but that isn't just watching TV, right?

Looks like a wedding is in my future today.........................

On the inside, I'm screaming no!! However, the outside appears jovial. I'm just goig to ride this one out and let it play itself out. If my Cowboys weren't playing in the playoffs, it would be completely different. After all, after you have been to one wedding....haven't you been to them all? Give him this ring, give her this ring, say I do, kiss...go party. Isn't that how it goes?

You make me laugh!! ;) As many weddings as we have, I can feel that way sometimes too!! Our wedding masses here are at 1:30 in the afternoon & we get home at 1am = long day!!! My nephew just set his wedding date over the weekend for August! That will be an out of town over-nighter - those are always fun! :)

Tree was up almost 2 months ! Anyone else in that range ?
I wish!!! Mine is still up, but I didn't get it decorated until around Dec. 14th. :( Although my sunroom tree has been up since Nov. 15th! And it will stay up at least until the time change! (unless if I decide to take it down before we leave for Florida next month. Hmmmm.....

Both indoor trees (the only decoration I got around to this year) are de-ornamented. The main tree is packed safely away with the lights on; I bought a special storage bag to allow this. I'm hoping it'll save me a bit of work next season. It's an unlit tree that I string lights on myself because I'm particular about my tree lights.

The second tree, in our TV room, is still up, but the only thing on it now is white bulbs. I like to light that up at night until the daylight begins to lengthen. It's sort of a winter/Alpine tree.

Don't you find that it feels like it takes more effort to pack everything away than to put it up? Happily, though, I found that I had more empty space in my ornament boxes than I thought, so I consolidated some stuff and wrote myself a brief list of what is now in each storage box.

My spirits have been pretty low between packing Christmas away and being moved to a less desirable seating arrangement at the office. Everybody was moved around, and I'm now next to a window that's clouded by condensation and mineral deposits trapped between double panes. If the window were clear, my view would be a brick wall. They tell me I should be happy to have a window and a desk, but I haven't been able to work up much cheer over that so far. I hope I can think of some way to cheer up the area, and also find some way to break this funk soon.
(((HUGS))) My new job is taking some getting use too, so I understand your work related funk!!!!
