Happy Thursday! How'd it get to be the end of January?

Busy week at work, but may get to go see a movie this weekend that I've been eager to see for months. Day and a half to go until the weekend!

Thank you everyone for your well-wishes regarding David’s surgery but he learned this afternoon that it has been postponed until Ferbuary 14th. He was not happy about it. I moved my vacation as well so I can be there for him. These things happen.

Sorry to hear his surgery was moved.

Good morning ~
It’s going to be sunny today with a high of 17, we’re currrently at 4 degrees. Typical day of errands and chores and I’ll be visiting my father as well. Dinner will be lasagna soup. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone keeps warm and has a good day!

Continuing to pry for your dad

Good morning ... Home today ..heater or thermostat is acting up and on the coldest day of the the year at that. Got a repair guy coming later today. Picked up a couple small christmas gifts over the past couple days, got them tucked away. I think I will spend the morning making banana bread, get a loaf of bread going on the bread maker and make a pot of broccoli and cheese soup for dinner. Hope everyone has a great day and is staying warm.

My mom got to see an ortho today. She has to do 3x a week PT for 4 weeks. The dr did not prder an MRI since her x-ray was normal My brother took her since I had work at 6am in the 2° weather. He said it was a sight seeing her get to the car from the house. My dad got her a walker that was still at my grandmas house. Man is it hard getting 2 extra people ready in the morning

Thanks .. Was able to get the heater working again for now but its 16 yrs almost 17 yrs old and the part that is going bad is expensive. Factor in the part and labor and it will be almost half the cost of a new heater installed soooo it looks like we will be going the route of a new heater. Not the news I wanted to hear but it is what it is.

Happy February MMC! Is it just me or was that the fastest January in history? I like to say this today: We will not see January again until we go through a full Christmas Season. That makes me smile. Now on to February, Groundhogs Day and the Superbowl Weekend. I always look forward to this Mid-Winter Weekend. Have a great TGIF!!!

It’s going to be a bit warmer today with a high of 23, we’re currently at 11 degrees. My father was finally moved to a nursing home yesterday for rehabilitation. He went for a short walk yesterday with the use of a walker but he can not stand up by himself. We’re praying he gets some strength back so he can go home. I have plans to visit him today. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be fettuccini Alfredo with a tomato & mozzarella salad. That’s about it from me. Wishing everyone a happy first day of February.

And as far as marker #2 is concerned, it's the ONE QUARTER point to the Season and is now a scant 11 days away.

It was quite cold here yesterday and I never saw our thermometer get past 40 degrees. This morning has started off chilly again, at 35 degrees, but a warming trend should begin this afternoon which will carry through until the middle of next week. Can't wait for that!

Happy to have January gone...it went by pretty quickly but the last couple of weeks seemed to drag on for me and now onto February!
