I’m goimg out soon to do some food shopping. I’ll be visiting my father in the nursing home afterward. I’ll be working on my daily chores in between. My husband and I have tickets for an Islander tonight so we have plans to go out for dinner this evening and then head to the game. I’m really looking forward to getting out. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good Weekend Morning, Folks. The first weekend of the new month.
I always begin to get a glimmer of hope once February arrives. While it is typically almost as cold as January, psychologically it seems easier to take since the month is shorter and you know that after it is over, the following month of March will likely see warmer temperatures return.
And with that happy thought, let's take a glance at the latest numbers:
Days to the Season: 284
Days to Christmas Day: 326
Now for a look at the most recent news concerning Milestone marker number two of 2019, the ONE QUARTER point to the Season.
It's now only TEN days into the future. SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow!
(Wowzers! That sure came up fast on us, didn't it?)
Well, the warm-up has begun!
We reached 58 for our high yesterday and today is predicted to top out at the same level, then we will begin a gradual climb that will reach the low 70's by Tuesday. Beautiful!
We commence this first day of Super Bowl weekend at 35 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.

Happy Groundhog's Day everyone!
Henry is feeling a little better this morning, but he is still coughing and the fever will not go away. We were going to have a a big family gathering at the in-laws today for Groundhog's Day, but that has now been postponed due to Henry being sick.
My wife's family always celebrates Groundhog's Day because when my wife and her siblings were young, they always traveled out of state for Thanksgiving and Christmas to see grandparents and other family. So, they decided to make sure they could spend a holiday at home together and figured Groundhog's Day was good because no one else really celebrated it.

The 5 or so inches of snow we picked up Thursday night is still on the ground, though it will not b for long as we are going to hit 40 today and probably close to 50 tomorrow.
I have not been out of the house since Monday! I walked outside on Thursday to get the mail but that is all. I have enjoyed just lounging around, but I wish Henry felt better.
We have all stayed busy watching movies, playing video games, and eating nice family dinners. I have also been painting miniature football players for my new electric football game.
At some point I should do some school stuff for next week; but that just is not as fun as relaxing!

Good Saturday afternoon! After doing some grocery shopping this morning and doing some laundry and cleaning up around the appartment, David decided to do some de-cluttering. So we tackled our movies and tv boxed sets. Now we'll just relax and catch up on our dvr. Hope everyone will have a great day!
Happy Superbowl Sunday MMC! Hope everyone is well. And today feels like the 1st holiday since New Years Day to me. It always does. It's a fun day and I look forward to my little Superbowl Party. It's kind of a personal milestone for me. I heard we may see a bit of an early spring this year. I will take it. Winter has not been bad here at all this year. I have to say it makes the winter more tolerable to me when we're covered in snow for half the winter or more. Have a great Superbowl Sunday!

Hello MMC! It’s a sunny day here, we took a nice long walk this morning. There’s still some snow left on the ground and together with the sun shining it looks beautiful outside.
By the time the Super Bowl is on over there, it will be midnight over here. If we feel like it, we’ll stay up to watch it. We both have to work in the morning though, so we won’t be able to see the whole thing.

Thank you both! My father had a bit of his strength back when I saw him yesterday, hoping today is an even better day.
Happy Sunday and Super Bowl Sunday! I am headed out in a couple of hours to go prom shopping with my daughter. And this afternoon we are headed over to our friend’s house for the Super Bowl. Hope you all have a great day!
