Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I had a miserable headache all weekend, and it's still on the verge of starting again this morning. I assume it sinus-related, so I'm dosing myself with Tylenol Sinus. I haven't been able to convince myself to spray saline up my nose, but if it starts again, I'll try anything LOL.

I watched part of the Boring Bowl last night, flipping between that and an exciting episode of Star Trek featuring a salt vampire. As you can tell, I had a preference. ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I hope you’re feeling better Brad.
xx

Still at work, waiting for a job that will take over an hour ... this is the first chance I've had all day to check in here.

Was up at 5:30 this morning, had TWO medical appointments before work, got to the office by 10:15, and have been working flat-out except for a 20-minute lunch break. I don't know how late I'll be here tonight, but right now it doesn't look good. All I can do is hang in there until it's over. My hand hurts from marking copy! (Okay, shall I stop complaining?)

I always love the Super Bowl. I have many fond memories of it from when I was growing up, and it's always been a big deal to me. I've always been a huge football fan, so that's one obvious reason. But looking back now, beyond simply being a sports fan, I realize why the Super Bowl still means so much to me. During all those years when I was younger it was always the first time since the holiday season that my family would all come together and spend the entire day together. No big parties or anything like that. Just relaxing all day on a Sunday and watching the big game together. It would often rain or be cold that day, so being inside and hanging out with the family all day was just what I did. And it just felt so similar to being holiday time that I completely embraced it in the exact same way. At the time that wasn't a connection I was aware of, but now looking back I realize that is absolutely the reason.

I have one particularly fond memory of when the Simpsons aired their Super Bowl episode after the game, so going from watching the game all day, to then watching that episode at night, at a time when all those 90s cartoons were a big part of my life, that's always remained one my best memories from growing up. It's still a tradition of mine to watch that episode in the evening every Super Bowl Sunday after everything quiets down. The reason I bring that up as well is because, again, it just felt so reminiscent of what I did all throughout the holiday season in watching all my favorite cartoon episodes, and that had barely ended a month prior. So it kind of felt like a continuation of that.

I called off from work yesterday because I decided I'd rather watch the game and hang out with my dad all day instead of work my crummy shift at my crummy job that I'm going to be leaving soon anyway. And I'm really glad I did. Spent all day hanging out and watching the game with him, ate some good food, chatted, and then watched my Simpsons episode. And this morning I woke up and just had this great feeling about having done that. It felt very reminiscent of all those Super Bowl Sundays from growing up.

Anyways, just wanted to share that. I don't think too many people out there make any sort of connection with their love of the holidays to Super Bowl Sunday. But I do. And I'm glad it's there.
Nice post. I read every word.
For me, it was the college bowl season between Christmas and New Years. School was out and for a whole week, I could just watch all the football I wanted to. I would cut the bowl schedule listing from the newspaper and fill in the results of all the games, then file them away.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I am very happy with the Super Bowl results. Edelman was my pick for MVP also. Most people don't like him but I love him! Tomorrow is my mom's first PT appointment and I get to take her. Have a great night

I do not like the Patriots and always root for the opposing team and I did not know of Edelman before this game, but I enjoyed watching him and he really deserved his MVP title. He was so quick on his feet and he kept evading the Rams' coverage. Why do most people dislike him? Hope your mom's physio appointment goes well tomorrow.

Thank you! I think a lot of people don't like him because he can have a big mouth and are upset that he used Performance enhancers and only got suspended for 4 games

Morning MMC! We had a beautiful taste of early spring yesterday and it will continue today. I went out at lunch time and it was about 55 degrees and sunny. It felt so great. I just hope when actual spring arrives next month we see a real spring this year instead of rain and cold for weeks on end. Other than that, had some good Superbowl leftovers last night and back to eating a little healthier tonight. Have a great day!

Good morning MMC ~
Happy Tuesday!
Not too much going on here today. I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. I’m going to visit my father this afternoon at the nursing home. He really, really wants to go home so we’re going to see what kind of home care he is entitled to. Fingers crossed it all works out and we can get him home.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx

Good Morning, Festive February Friends!

The nearness of our next Milestone marker just might help you to feel even more festive.
But before we look at that, we need to look at this:
Days to the Season: 281
Days to Christmas Day: 323

And is it possible that in exactly and precisely ONE WEEK from today, we will complete the entirety of the FIRST QUARTER of our Season count and enter the SECOND?
Well, I read it in the chart. And if you see it in the chart, then it must be so.

Things just keep getting nicer and nicer here weather-wise and yesterday's high reached 68 degrees under sunny and calm skies.
Now the prediction for today, tomorrow and Thursday: 73, 73 and 76.
I could get used to that very easily. (But that would be a mistake. Mother Nature punishes the presumptuous.)
Our launch temperature this morning is 47 degrees.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!

Happy Tuesday MMC!
This break in the weather sure is something else! Today will be the second consecutive day in the 50s, a nice break from the negative degree zone! Though I did walk out the back door today ... and a skunk might have actually exploded in our back yard... while I can find no physical evidence of this, nor have I heard of this ever actually happening ... the smell is POTENT! Anyway ... hope everyone has a great day!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I just got into a long conversation with an unsolicited phone caller trying to sell me credit card relief. I told him I wasn't interested in that, but that I had recently started an online t-shirt business (I haven't), and all these unsolicited calls were an opportunity to increase my sales. Most of the callers hang up at this point, but that guy started asking me questions about the shirt colors and quality LOL. We had a long talk, and we both knew it was bogus. Funny!

It's another beautiful day here. It's supposed to be sunny and 75° today, and sunny and 80° tomorrow. o_O

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Happy Tuesday! (It's only TUESDAY?!? Feels like half the week should be gone already.)
Hope you did not stay too late and today is better for you!
Thanks! I got home about 9 p.m. So far the pace isn't so grueling today, thank goodness! Which is good, because I'm tired out from yesterday. I hope your oldest feels better soon.
