Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I had a miserable headache all weekend, and it's still on the verge of starting again this morning. I assume it sinus-related, so I'm dosing myself with Tylenol Sinus. I haven't been able to convince myself to spray saline up my nose, but if it starts again, I'll try anything LOL.

I watched part of the Boring Bowl last night, flipping between that and an exciting episode of Star Trek featuring a salt vampire. As you can tell, I had a preference. ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Hope you're feeling better, Brad.

Morning MMC! Sad to me that football season ended but another ring for New England. Have to be impressed with what they've done over the years. I always like to think about how the next time we see a football game (even pre-season) we'll be in the 2nd half of summer and heading right towards the Bers. Have a great Monday!
If it helps, the 2019 Street and Smith College Yearbook comes out the week before Memorial Day and the Pro book two or three weeks after that.

Good Morning, Festive February Friends!

The nearness of our next Milestone marker just might help you to feel even more festive.
But before we look at that, we need to look at this:
Days to the Season: 281
Days to Christmas Day: 323

And is it possible that in exactly and precisely ONE WEEK from today, we will complete the entirety of the FIRST QUARTER of our Season count and enter the SECOND?
Well, I read it in the chart. And if you see it in the chart, then it must be so.

Things just keep getting nicer and nicer here weather-wise and yesterday's high reached 68 degrees under sunny and calm skies.
Now the prediction for today, tomorrow and Thursday: 73, 73 and 76.
I could get used to that very easily. (But that would be a mistake. Mother Nature punishes the presumptuous.)
Our launch temperature this morning is 47 degrees.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!
So you're saying the chart isn't on the internet and, therefore, we can trust it...

Thanks Crown! Been enjoying an early taste of spring!

I always love the Super Bowl. I have many fond memories of it from when I was growing up, and it's always been a big deal to me. I've always been a huge football fan, so that's one obvious reason. But looking back now, beyond simply being a sports fan, I realize why the Super Bowl still means so much to me. During all those years when I was younger it was always the first time since the holiday season that my family would all come together and spend the entire day together. No big parties or anything like that. Just relaxing all day on a Sunday and watching the big game together. It would often rain or be cold that day, so being inside and hanging out with the family all day was just what I did. And it just felt so similar to being holiday time that I completely embraced it in the exact same way. At the time that wasn't a connection I was aware of, but now looking back I realize that is absolutely the reason.

I have one particularly fond memory of when the Simpsons aired their Super Bowl episode after the game, so going from watching the game all day, to then watching that episode at night, at a time when all those 90s cartoons were a big part of my life, that's always remained one my best memories from growing up. It's still a tradition of mine to watch that episode in the evening every Super Bowl Sunday after everything quiets down. The reason I bring that up as well is because, again, it just felt so reminiscent of what I did all throughout the holiday season in watching all my favorite cartoon episodes, and that had barely ended a month prior. So it kind of felt like a continuation of that.

I called off from work yesterday because I decided I'd rather watch the game and hang out with my dad all day instead of work my crummy shift at my crummy job that I'm going to be leaving soon anyway. And I'm really glad I did. Spent all day hanging out and watching the game with him, ate some good food, chatted, and then watched my Simpsons episode. And this morning I woke up and just had this great feeling about having done that. It felt very reminiscent of all those Super Bowl Sundays from growing up.

Anyways, just wanted to share that. I don't think too many people out there make any sort of connection with their love of the holidays to Super Bowl Sunday. But I do. And I'm glad it's there.

Great post.

I can remember being young and on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day watching all of the college football game. We would sit in the living room all day, watch football, and eat a variety of foods that Mom fixed.

The Super Bowl was similiar, but it wasn't an all day thing...but it would start around 2 or 3 and we would watch all the pregame stuff.

Another sporting event that was a lot of fun at our house was March Madness. Goodness, we loved opening weekend of the tourney. It was always during high school baseball season...we would play games and they hurry home.

Good times. Good memories. It was all brought back to me by your post. Thanks!

Morning MMC! Winter is Moving Forward. Looks like we will see some rain the next couple of days before a colder (normal) February Weekend with some sun. The last 2 days were like spring here. Too nice for early February I assume. Have a great Mid-Week Pines Day!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's going to be a very nice Spring day here in southeast Georgia, with a high reaching 80°. Why am I at work when I could be golfing or fishing? I feel like I should open the pool or something LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Enjoy the warm weather, Brad!!

Good Mid-Week Morning, my Friends.
Yes, Folks. It is once again the peak-of-the-week, and the view ahead to the weekend looks just great!

And hey. The view ahead to our next Milestone looks pretty good too, as do the daily numbers. Let's get straight to them!
Days to the Season: 280
Days to Christmas Day: 322

And the Milestone approaching us at a rapid rate?
Well, it's the ONE QUARTER point to the Season, and it will arrive in a scant 6 days. UNDER a week away, now!

We are living in a wonderland of warm temps, sunny skies and non-rain conditions that are quite rare indeed for February. Two more days of this to enjoy before winter begins to return once again.
(I for one, plan to relish it to the fullest!)
Our present temperature stands at 52 degrees.

Carl will be at the 'Pine's front door as always this evening, ready to pass out the first complimentary fired twinkie of February along with the first glass of sweet, southern iced tea.
The entertainment, as always, is a secret known only to our friendly activities director and his dedicated staff.
Come this evening to find out what you would have missed if you had stayed away.

And have a Wonderful Wednesday, as well!
