Good Monday morning! It got very cold overnight, have to drag out my Winter boots again. This is the first day of our new manager at the store. I have never worked with her, we’ll see how it goes. Today at work, we’ll be playing “Not yes not no”, a game when as soon as someone says yes or no, you take away their “token”. Said token will be a fish, in honour of April’s Fool day. By the end of the day, the employee who has the most fishes will win a gift card. Have a great day everyone!
I've never heard of this game! Sounds like a merry way to celebrate April Fool's Day.

Merry Monday MMC!
It’s goimg to be sunny today with temperatures in the mid 40’s. It was so breezy and chilly when I took Rocky for his walk earlier. I’m looking forward to Wednesday, we’re going to warm up to 60 degrees. Anyway, there’s not too much going on here today. Rocky went to the groomer and he’s back home already. I’m just working on the laundry and I’m going to make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. My daughter and I are going to the gym when she gets home from school, neither one of us felt like going at the crack of dawn today. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!
xx

Good afternoon, hopefully no one has been pranked today. Leaving the house this morning it felt way more like fall morning then a spring morning. Sun was shinning but it was a crisp, chilly and breezy morning. Had me craving a nice mug of hot apple cider but had coffee instead :)

It happens every year about this time. That giant rabbit shows up at the mall.
And still......it's just not the same.
No.
It's just not the same.

(Looking a little lonely there, fella!)
Not even remotely close....o_O

Good Monday afternoon, Christmas friends!

The long weekend is over. 5AM Saturday, I drove to the NC mountains with mom to install the SimpliSafe alarm system in her place. It runs on cellular service instead of phones, which is great since we have no phones up there. It went along pretty well, until the tech support lady and I finally figured out that they shipped me the T-Mobile version of the unit instead of the Verizon version. She said they would ship a different SIM card out right away, and give us two free months of monitoring...but I STILL have to drive back up there to install it LOL. Anyway, we still made it home by 8PM.

Sunday morning, we left at 6AM taking Elizabeth to Savannah. She had to be warming-up at 7AM for her 8AM dance competition at the Civic Center. I was surprised that all of the girls did a great job that early! They had several dances throughout the day. At 4PM, they had awards. The competition was a lot "stiffer" at this event, coming from all over the southeast. Still, we won several awards, though no BIG trophies. Somebody has to win, somebody has to lose. I was still very proud of her!

I could use a little more sleep, but I'm glad to be home. I hope y'all have a great afternoon! :D

Happy April, MMC!!

I thought about you yesterday when I finally got the Keurig out from hiding and set it up. I remember thinking I didn`t have enough room for it - then I recalled how many Santas you have so I knew I could make it work - and it did.

Then I thought of you again when I found a tiny felt Santa and decided he didn`t have to be caged up until Christmas being so small; I brought him out and put him on my hutch with my humpty dumpty and shelf sitting pig.

Congratulations to Elizabeth!

Morning MMC! Hope nobody got fooled yesterday with April Fools Day. We have a chilly morning for early April but it should be milder today than it was Monday. Just got back into the swing of things at work after being out for a bunch of days. Looking forward to those back to back milestones later this month. Have a great Tuesday!

Well I've been up and at it since 4:30, finally out of bed at 5:00.

Just had a cup of Maxwell House Dark Roast and I'm following it up with a cup of Early Grey Black Tea; yesterday we tried the Folgers Medium Roast; yes, I admit the Keurig is a good idea. The cat doesn't care for the noise though.

My husband has a foot clinic appointment early Thursday morning so that's when I'll drop the card and flower seeds off to the Merry Neighbour Across the Creek.

The Rapid Response Nurse has released my husband from her case load; that's a good sign. There are enough people involved in his care that she doesn't have to see him anymore. I picked up a bunch of medical supplies to treat his skin tears and they gave me far too many patches that are gauze like instead of the non-stick variety. I'll take them back and see if they can replace them, if not, I'll just buy my own 'cause his sticky wounds will be ripped open if I use the kind they gave me. I've bought so much stuff out of pocket, I didn't know the Victorian Order of Nurses supplied bandages and saline spray free of charge.

My dad is coming over today to visit with him while I'm at work.

Today, is wear blue day for World Autism Awareness Day; I was a supervisor in a group home for children diagnosed with Autism, P.D.D. and Fragile X and one child that had childhood onset schizophrenia with autistic tendencies back in the mid-to-late 80's before it was known as a "spectrum disorder". I can always spot them in a check out line and it makes my heart feel good to see them out and about. When their eyes meet mine, they seem to recognize that I "get them" and I notice a twinkle in their eyes.

Have a great day and stay jolly! -mistletoe-

Yeah I’ve played it at Christmas parties. It got quite competitive and intense (and funny!) at work yesterday. Some people didn’t want to talk anymore for fear of losing their fish. I admit I lost mine pretty quickly but I caught one employee who had 18 by the end of the day (she caught EVERYONE), but it was all in fun and I just left them to her.

Good Tuesday morning! The sun is out and temperatures will be on the rise after a very cold Monday. I have an appointment this morning with a periodontist to see if I should get a gum graft. I also have to do a bit of grocery shopping. And then it’s off to work for an afternoon/evening shift. Hope everyone enjoys a great day!

Good Morning, Folks!

April showers bring May flowers.
And this new month brings not one, but TWO more Milestone markers.
We will discuss them after the presentation of today's figures.

Days to the Season: 225
Days to Christmas Day: 267

Our dual Milestones for the month of April include the ONE-THIRD point to Christmas Day and the 200-DAY SEASON WINDOW.
They arrive late in the month but that's still pretty close.
The former will be here in 24 days (under 3 1/2 weeks off) and the latter will come to pass just one day later.
(Be sure to mark both dates on your calendars!)

Rather chilly here all day yesterday and it's predicted to be even colder today, with a near 100 percent chance of rain.
We are starting off this second day of the work week overcast, at 38 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone.
And get ready for the first 'Pines Day open house of April, tomorrow!

Thanks Crown! No Fooling Today!

Good morning MMC! I am just having some coffee and going through emails. It seems a bit warmer today and looks like this week will warm up a bit. I am hoping to get a workout in today too...I am trying to get back into the gym on a regular basis. Hope you have a great day!

Merry Tuesday!
I’m heading out to walk Rocky as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I need to do some food shopping afterward. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be tacos. I want to watch American Idol at some point, we recorded it last night because there was a hockey game on. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

We picked-up Elizabeth's senior pictures from the photographer yesterday, and they are wonderful! The only problem I see with them is that she's so grown. She should still be sitting in my lap on the front porch swing. Those were the days!

Nancy's sister is doing Weight Watchers, too, and she found that "Blackened Chicken Tenders" at Popeye's are only 1 point! Needless to say, that's what I had for supper last night LOL. I'm down 14 pounds in four weeks!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Sounds like a fun game; does not sound like fun to have a gum graft - hope you just need a little Cobalt 5 blue gum in your life.
