Happy May Day Friday MMC! Glad it's Friday? I am. Looks like we won't see much sun though. Oh well it's been a dreary week for the most part. Hate this weather but it could be worse. We have some rain coming tonight. A rainy Friday night after a long week is perfect for relaxing. Have a great TGIF!

Good morning and Happy Friday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with chance of a shower and highs near 57 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a menu plan and grocery list. I’m going to start cooking breakfast soon and then walk Rocky. It will be be a typical day for me of errands and chores. There’s an Islander game on later tonight. They’re on the brink of elimination so it’s do or die. We’re going to order pizza for dinner so I’ll get a break from cooking! That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great weekend ahead!
xx

Good Morning, Fellow Weekend Eve'ers!

Yes, my Friends.
The final day of the work week has arrived, and we stand on the threshold of yet another end-of-the-week sanctuary.
How will you spend it?
Well, how about spending just a little part of it reading and digesting today's data?
Meet with your approval?
Well OK, then.

Days to the Season: 194
Days to Christmas Day: 236

And I'm quite sure this will meet with your approval:
The HALF-WAY point to Christmas Season 2019 will be here in just TWELVE more days.
So close to SINGLE DIGITS, now!
(Where has the year gone, anyway??)

Continued warm but not humid here in the center part of North Carolina.
As a result, the 80's temperatures we have been feeling the last few days is not oppressive.
Today and tomorrow will see us again return to the same temperature levels, with Sunday cooling off into the upper 70's, accompanied by a pretty good shot at some rain.
Our Weekend Eve opening temperature here is 70 degrees.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
And may a Wondrous Weekend follow!

TGIF!!
Looks like a cloudy day here and rain for tonight and then again looks like the whole day on Sunday. My daughter has a softball game on Sunday not sure if they will have it or not?
I am looking forward to relaxing and maybe watching the Christmas movie on Hallmark.
Enjoy your Friday and weekend!

I just found out I have 20 unused vacation days from a snag in our system when we switched our fiscal year to run April to April; several of us lost out on the calculation of our incurred vacations from Dec. the end of Mar. I have to take them before the end of March 2020; I also have 28 new vacation days that she suggested I put on the back burner and use the old ones first.

I thought there was a glitch I lost days from this year, but it turns out they hadn't put my new ones in the system yet. YABBA!

I can use some of the old ones to cover some of my time off work lately because we only receive three bereavement days (although I'll add a few personal days in there).

Maybe I can plan to join my dad for a two week trip in the Fall. I know a cat lady who currently has no cats and I'm sure she'd take good care of O'Malley if I decide to go.

Speaking of which, I better call Sandy and tell about Gary, she had a little crush on him.

I went to the mall to give a donation to Crime Stoppers for their jailathon thing at the mall where you try and help bail a local celebrity out of jail. Most of them weren't known to me they were paramedics, firefighters and police officers mostly.

Did a little grocery shopping and bought two gifts for a co-workers baby and a gift for the sibling; I'll buy more once I know the gender of the baby and I shop with better intent if I have a name in my head.

That's a wonderful surprise! Utilize those for sure and enjoy!

Good luck to them - since I've went daylight, we've started a tradition of doing pizza as a Friday night thing, so that's what we'll be doing too, as well as watching the game.

Good morning all! TGIF!!! It's beautiful out right now, but storms are on the way for tonight. That's okay. We don't have plans for this evening, except for staying in, getting pizza and watching hockey. We'll probably play some board games too. DS makes his First Holy Communion on Sunday during mass, so he has practice this evening too, but other than that, that's our plans.

As far as today, my sister should be here soon. She'll coming to cut and color my hair. I haven't had anything done with it since the fall. I'm still going to keep it dark, but want to put some lighter hi-lites in it and get a little shorter.

Hope you all have a great day - it is Friday after all!

Me too; it's been crazy; far too many trips to the lieu and I'm ready for a nap by noon.

Secretary squeezed me in under the circumstances and my doctor prescribed Melatonin to aid in a restful sleep and blood work and stool samples in case I picked up something nasty at the hospital. Quite possible.

If we rule out a virus, then we can look at anxiety treatment. I don't feel anxious in my head, but my body might be screaming for help that my mind hasn't recognized it needs yet.

Managed to make it through another day at work.
Soooo, you're anxious to make your body mind....

Good Morning, Folks!

The entire first half of our journey to Christmas Season 2019 is coming to a close soon.
Amazing, isn't it?

Days to the Season: 195
Days to Christmas Day: 237

We are now UNDER 2 weeks away from the above mentioned half-way Season point. Will wonders never cease?
(I certainly hope not!)

Our warm but dry weather continues, and we again marched well into the 80's yesterday.
We shall return to that level again for today through Saturday before we cool off a bit for Sunday and perhaps get some rain.
For now, we have started off this post-'Pines/pre-Weekend Eve day at 67 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina.

Have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday, Everybody!
Wonders never cease. Some days they're just harder to find than others.:)

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I just got back from "Old Fashioned Day" at school. Every year, the seniors and the 3rd grade go to a local farm for ice cream churning, hay rides and square dancing, then a picnic. The seniors square dance with the children, and everyone is dressed in overalls and straw hats. It's lots of fun, but I realized I just returned from my last time. I've been with Jacob in the 3rd grade and as a senior, then Elizabeth in the 3rd grade, and now as a senior. I try not to think about stuff like that.

Our nephew in the 3rd grade was there, so I took lots of pictures of him. I was surrounded by moms and dads taking pictures, too. Nancy and I joked that they probably thought I was a grandfather, with all this gray hair LOL!

Jacob is in a concert with the University Singers tonight.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Beautiful day here; sun and warmth - finally. Supposed to be nice through the weekend. Might help calm the flood warnings.

Buds popping out on the trees and lots of bird and tiny squirrel and chipmunk antics to indicate spring is on the way.

It's a special time for DS; if I stretch my mind far enough, I can remember mine. After the gathering at the Church, a few relatives joined us at our place for fancy coloured bread finger sandwiches and dessert squares.

Fast forward to my Confirmation and my God-Mother who was my aunt and father's sister (was a lead vocal in the choir for many years) struck up a conversation with the Bishop who was in attendance.

Have fun with your sister.

Today was a good day. First day since I returned to work that I felt happy most of the day. And after I dropped off the stool samples, my symptoms pretty much disappeared. Weird. Wacky.
