Hi everyone! Hope everyone is well. I am still battling this pneumonia. My other chronic health issues are making it difficult to kick this infection. The doctor had told me that when she saw me today if my lungs didn't sound any better from Monday when I was in there then she was going to admit me to the hospital, which is the LAST thing I wanted. Thankfully they got a little better. I still have lots of medication to take and was told to rest and stay away from crowds, but as long as I am at home and not in hospital I am grateful! I just feel so run down from this. Hopefully it clears up soon as we have a lot to do as a family in starting to help my mom clean out her house so she can move closer to me. What a nightmare that will be! Plus, she lives three hours away so it isn't like we can just pop over and do some stuff each day. I hope everyone else is doing well today!

Praying you are better soon, sugarmuffin!

Good Morning.
Two weeks and a day to the Window!
(I think you know what I mean but details will follow anyway, after the count numbers.)

Days to the Season: 173
Days to Christmas Day: 215

And yes, truth be told, we are just one day over two weeks off from the 200-Day Christmas Day Milestone marker and the beginning of a double-100's count, as the year slowly evaporates.
(Aren't these yearly journeys fun!)

The heat slowly builds, but yesterday was really not bad. Some clouds held the temps down a bit and the humidity was still OK.
Today is supposed to be a different story though, and our high is predicted to top out at 95 degrees.
For now, this nice Weekend Eve day has begun for us at 75 degrees.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And I hope you have a really great start to your weekend this afternoon!

Thank you, Crown!
Have a fun and safe trip!

Merry Friday!

Storms on the way today and tomorrow, but the rest of the holiday weekend looks to be fairly nice. I have to finish planting the garden ~ still a few pepper plants to get in and all the tomatoes. If it warms up enough, the morel mushrooms should be popping out. I wish I had time to hunt for them, but there are two flea markets I want to visit.

The mosquito abatement team was out spraying last night. They passed the house twice when usually they do one quick drive-by.

Have a merry weekend!

Well this morning I went to the hospital to meet with some of the nurses and other staff who assisted my husband and other patients and families through their hospital stay; at least 35% of the patients were palliative in that section.

The CEO of the Foundation gave them an indication about the meeting, but they didn't know who it was regarding until they saw me. One of the staff who works the phone lines and other reception tasks came and gave me a hug and commented how well I looked. There were just over a dozen of them present and a General Manager for the hospital.

Nurse Shannon and I posed together with the others for a photo, but it was really about recognizing their efforts and professional fortitude.

I came to realize that although I thought this was part of a closure for me, it really felt more like a flower bloomed. My heart was as elated as I'm sure theirs were upon hearing my word of thanks and recognizing the angel who spent the last two nights of my husband's life with us. As it turns out she's married to the son of a friend of mine. I didn't know there was a connection there.

Went through the closet and still don't know what I'm wearing to the wedding. I'm not much of a dress person so I'm thinking I might just go with a white skirt and blouse.

O'Malley knows something is up; he'll get a better idea when I set up his second feeding and water station in the morning.

We didn't get any rain today, but they are expecting rain where I'm heading tomorrow. Thankfully, the wedding is inside the lodge, but it would be nice if the sun was out long enough for some outdoor photos. I just wrapped up their wedding gifts.

And since my US chums are celebrating a special long weekend, I thought I'd share this special thank you to Gary Sinise regarding his Foundation and the work he does in many places for men and women in the forces.

Keep a merry thought in your head

Good Morning MMC !

nothing like natures super wake up alarm clock to get a person up early ! LOL, lovely thunderstorm rolling through, loud clap went off 5 min to 6am this morning. Good thing I had to get up in 5 min any way. It is still rumbling out there. Penny is not to distressed by it.

Off to work in an hour, so need to get off here, find some breakfast and make some lunch.

Hope you all have a great Saturday !

Happy Memorial Day Weekend MMC! It's a beautiful Saturday morning to start the holiday weekend. Complete sunshine and 53 degrees. Temps should get to about 70. This is always to me the biggest weekend of the Non-Bers year because of how it represents our journey starting from Memorial Day Weekend till Labor Day Weekend and the start of the Bers again. Have a great start to your Memorial Day Weekend!

Hello all!

Well, the school year is over for Henry and me. My wife has next week to go.
Today is clean the house and try to get the backyard in order.

No big Memorial day plans, just relax around the house and start enjoying summer. Which also includes thinking about Christmas in July!

-sun-

Enjoy the summer; here's a little something for you.

Well, hopping in the shower and getting ready to roll.

O'Malley got spooked by a shadow or angry because I was fussing about last night getting things ready and he jumped up and bit my leg - real hard - he's so lucky I love him enough to forgive quickly. Cleaned it out real good. He hissed and growled after it which isn't like him at all. Hope he was just spooked or scared. He seems fine this morning.

Have a great weekend and stay jolly! -reindeer-

Good Weekend Morning, Folks!

We are off to the coast shortly, but there's time enough to do the daily post!

Days to the Season: 172
Days to Christmas Day: 214

And that pending 200-Day Christmas Day Window?
Well, that will be here TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY, ready or not!
(Of course, we will be ready, right?)

Still the heat builds. We hit 93 yesterday for our afternoon high right about the time our AC decided it was time to take a vacation. We recalled it back by evening!
Today? Even hotter here, but it should be about 10 degrees cooler at the coast.
We begin today here in the state capital at 74 degrees.

Minta will be handling the count tomorrow and Monday morning, with Auntie available as back-up, so you will be in good capable hands.
Have a Sensational Saturday and a Merry Memorial Day holiday, Everyone!
See you Tuesday.

Good morning and Happy Sunday MMC!
It’s going to be cloudy and much warmer today, we’re going to have a high of 80 degrees. I don’t have too much planned for today. I just have run to the supermarket to pick up a few more things for our barbecue tomorrow. I’m also going to visit my parents while I’m out. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry and I think I’m going make a couple of my salads for tomorrow. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good Morning ... The weather here this weekend has been so beautiful. Spent the day outside weeding, putting down weed blocker and fresh mulch in the front flowerbeds with help from my hubby and my SIL. It looks so much better out there. Now just need to get the side flower beds done and get a new summer flag for out front but that is next weekends project. Got to make macaroni salad this morning as we are going to my FIL this afternoon for a cook out. Hope everyone has a great day!

Update on how DD did yesterday! The team received 2 - 1st places in the open events and one 2nd place in the regional event, with another 2nd place with protection rule in the regional event. She then individually received in the regional events - a 2nd in marching, 2nd fancy strut, 3rd in solo, and best overall in her age group for solo, as well 4th for basic skills pageant. The hard work for these girls continues to pay off! We didn’t get in last night until after midnight, so I’m tired today, but here at work.

Hope you’re all having a great Memorial Day Weekend!
