Guess what day it is?

Happy Hump / Pines Day! -reindeer-

Good Wednesday morning! It was supposed to rain some yesterday and cool down a bit but we didn’t get a single drop and iy still feels like an oven. We had our company’s vice-president’s visit yesterday and everything went really well. Now three days of work left and I get 16 days of vacation. Enjoy your day everyone!

Happy Final Day of July MMC! Another hot/humid morning here. But it shouldn't be as hot the next few days as it was the last few. It's still warm enough to sweat plenty. Can't believe it's the last day of July can you? Although I have to say from Mid-July on it did seem to slow down a little with the heat. Have a great Final Day of July!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I grilled hotdogs and we ate with Nancy's dad last night. It was pretty good!

Elizabeth told us that Robert, the music director at the theater where she performs, was leaving after Mary Poppins. He's a super guy who has really helped Elizabeth and Jacob both with lessons, casting and even jobs for them both. It turns out that the Center Director was very mean to him after Mary Poppins ended, insisting that Robert was not doing everything possible to increase ticket sales...it was sold-out every night. Robert finally quit, and was planning to leave. The play cast members were having a going away party for him, when it was announced that the board had finally fired the Director, and asked Robert to stay. Thank goodness he agreed! I'm back to being happy with the Averritt Center again LOL.

Lulu is feeling a little better every day, too.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, Fellow Counters.
And one thing we can surely count on is that each and every day, the remaining days until Christmas and its Season get fewer and fewer.

As evidentiary proof, I present the following:
Days to the Season: 105
Days to Christmas Day: 147

And not only are the number of days to the Season and the big Day getting fewer, so are the number of them separating us from our next Milestone marker.
That point, of course, is the 100-Day Season Window, and we are now only FIVE days away from it!
(Really closing in, now!)

We are still keeping the high humidity at bay and the days, while fairly warm, are not really uncomfortable. (I could get used to a summer full of days like this.)
But we must always be aware that Mother Nature is tricky and can turn on us at any time.
Today's high is predicted to be 92. Will we have the humidity to match? Time will tell.
We are beginning this middle-of-the-week day here at 73 degrees.

Speaking of middle-of-the-week, we find ourselves once again at open house day at the Shisperig Pines, presided over as always by Carl, our friendly activities director who, also as always, has plenty of good food, drink, and entertainment for us at our inn of choice. Will Carl have any new beverage blends to try out on us? Will the entertainment be exciting? Will O'Malley come this time? Will you guys be there?
Questions abound. What will be the answers?

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

Good Morning MMC !

We're back from the Junior Olympics! Took longer to return home because my son was weighed down with so many medals and trophies !!
He won a gold, 5 silver, a bronze, and a 4th place.
There were 286 competitors in the stacking area ranging in age from 5 years to 68 years old. It was noisy, long, fun and exciting.

this is the team he won 4th place with, the first time they ever met, so I think they worked well together

(I tried to put 2 other pictures on here, but for some reason they will not show up)

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

Nancy came home form the beach yesterday afternoon, and Elizabeth is coming back today with Nancy's sister. Lulu sure was happy to see her mama, even though she's not feeling well. I think she misses the support that the cast gave her. We'll get through it.

Nancy and I were supposed to go to the mountains this weekend to do some pressure washing, and to finish the alarm installation (finally), but with Lu's sore leg, it may have to be postponed again. We'll see.

I hope y'all have a great day! :)

Continued prayers for Lu! It's great she has such a great parents taking care of her.

Thanks Crown! I can honestly say this has been the most humid summer so far in quite some time.

Boy, that would have been a total shame if he would have quit over that. I am so glad for him (and don't even know him!), that the truth came out in the end and he will be able to continue to touch people's lives and keep the job he loves!
