I hope everyone has been doing wonderful this year. I look forward to enjoying the final full month before the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year debuts in September!

Good Morning MMC !

The temps here have dulled down to bearable again.
Going off to Goderich this afternoon to drop off some friends. They are going to enjoy a week next to the lake just relaxing.
I have lots of work to do around here, but it just does not seem to be getting done. Tomorrow I have to go to London and Saturday it's back to work (the paid kind) Oh well, nobody visits when the house is spotless anyway LOL

My mom always reminds me that August is the first month with the longer name which takes us all the way through February. It’s not the bers, but it’s another reminder that we’re already heading quickly into that time of year! I am excited!

Sitting riverside currently. Finishing up vacation on Sunday after a glorious over a week off! See you on the other side!!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends, and Happy First Day of August!

Elizabeth has been finding furniture for her new apartment, and I've been working hard to push thoughts of her leaving out of my mind. I never mind being alone with Nancy, of course, but Elizabeth moving out is tough to swallow. I'm sure I'll get used to the idea in a few months, but the next few weeks is going to be difficult!

Lulu is getting better every day, but she still likes me to carry her like a baby outside LOL.

Nancy's dad has been taking radiation treatments for skin cancer (the doctor says it should be easily taken care of), and today is his last treatment, so we're all going out to dinner.

Completed our family reunion trip, late Tuesday evening. We got to see the refurbished Big Boy steam engine, followed by a trip to a train themed café where our food was delivered by electric train.

Best photo of the trip was my 83 year old father in law with his 13 month old great niece. They share the same birthday. She is much more serious than he is.

Happy August Arrives MMC! How's everyone doing? It's the month BEFORE the Bers begin. That's just insane isn't it? That's why the last few years in January & February I never get really sad anymore or rush it. The months just fly by after those 2 and we wind up back in the Bers before we know it. Have a great August Arrives Friday Eve!

I have a few friends on FB who don't care for Pumpkin Spice this and that and others that can't wait for various flavours and products to hit the shelves. The ones that don't care for it - really don't like even seeing posts about it. Well, they are the same ladies who annoy me with the sound of their flip-flops smacking against their feet. The battle is on the way.

Happy August 1! We have a one month buildup to the Fall months which will run through Halloween, Thanksgiving and ultimately Christmas. Pretty good spot to be in!

I have been well, melting through this summer, I spent July listening to Music Choice Sounds of the Season Christmas in July. I can't wait until November when the Christmas music comes back on Music Choice.

FRIDAY - I made it through my first week back to work.
This is our Civic Holiday Weekend so I have Monday off. Might take in a concert over the weekend.
Realized last night when I pulled into my parking spot that I forgot about the sunroof in the rental I'm driving. I'll go for a drive after work to enjoy it before I pick up my car from the repair shop - hope it's ready tomorrow. They were painting the front end yesterday so I imagine it just has to settle / cure before I can retrieve it.

Nice weather expected for the weekend, possibly rain on Monday.

Good Friday morning! Temperatures cooled down yesterday with no humidity, what a welcome break! I fell asleep before 9pm last night so of course I was up at 4:30am today. Just relaxing before going into my last work day before my 16-day vacation. But I won't truly be on vacation until tomorrow night after our work Summer party. I'm aiming to finish early today, we'll see how that goes. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Happy August TGIF MMC! Oh wow I forgot how long a 5 day work week is haha. But I'm almost there now as we all are focusing on Friday afternoon and making it to the weekend. Should be mostly a nice one here. I look forward to it as I know all of you do. Have a great August TGIF!
