Christmas Countdown - 2019

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends, and Happy First Day of August!

Elizabeth has been finding furniture for her new apartment, and I've been working hard to push thoughts of her leaving out of my mind. I never mind being alone with Nancy, of course, but Elizabeth moving out is tough to swallow. I'm sure I'll get used to the idea in a few months, but the next few weeks is going to be difficult!

Lulu is getting better every day, but she still likes me to carry her like a baby outside LOL.

Nancy's dad has been taking radiation treatments for skin cancer (the doctor says it should be easily taken care of), and today is his last treatment, so we're all going out to dinner.

always hard when they start moving out, lots to get used to for you and her. My girls moved out at the same time, I remember crying on the way home. Even though they were only an hour away it seemed so far.

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Appreciators.

As for the daily numbers, they are most definitely here right now:
Days to the Season: 103
Days to Christmas Day: 145

And the 100-Day Season Window?
Hey. It's UNDER half a week away, now. Three days to be precise.
(Wow!)

It was rather warm yesterday until a late afternoon thunderstorm, complete with some uncomfortably close lightning strikes, cooled us off quite a bit.
Today should be a bit cooler, in the mid-80's, but still with an 80 pecent chance of precipitation.
We begin the final day of the work week at 70 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina.

It has been forever since I have been here. I've been thinking of this place often, and I had to make a stop tonight because I couldn't stop thinking about it. I have been well, melting through this summer, I spent July listening to Music Choice Sounds of the Season Christmas in July. I can't wait until November when the Christmas music comes back on Music Choice.

Hello all and Happy Friday!

Just got back from HS football practice. Time to relax for a bit.

Tomorrow we are heading up to Cleveland for the Brown and Orange Scrimmage. I hope to get some player autographs. A couple of years ago I was able to get 20+ autographs. Funny, most of those players are no longer on the Browns.

We are staying up in Cleveland Saturday night and going to the Natural History Museum on Sunday. It should be a fun weekend! Looking forward to taking a small vacation, even if it is just a weekend.

It was Broncos vs Falcons...I saw the last five minutes of the first half and a bit of the third quarter, this morning, while I worked out. It was a sloppy, whistle blowing, early pre - season contest.

FRIDAY - I made it through my first week back to work.
This is our Civic Holiday Weekend so I have Monday off. Might take in a concert over the weekend.
Realized last night when I pulled into my parking spot that I forgot about the sunroof in the rental I'm driving. I'll go for a drive after work to enjoy it before I pick up my car from the repair shop - hope it's ready tomorrow. They were painting the front end yesterday so I imagine it just has to settle / cure before I can retrieve it.

Nice weather expected for the weekend, possibly rain on Monday.
