OK. Let's try this for 2019. I am back for at least a little bit.
I hope everyone has been doing wonderful this year. I look forward to enjoying the final full month before the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year debuts in September!
Merry final day of July!
Good Morning, Fellow Counters.
And one thing we can surely count on is that each and every day, the remaining days until Christmas and its Season get fewer and fewer.
As evidentiary proof, I present the following:
Days to the Season: 105
Days to Christmas Day: 147
And not only are the number of days to the Season and the big Day getting fewer, so are the number of them separating us from our next Milestone marker.
That point, of course, is the 100-Day Season Window, and we are now only FIVE days away from it!
(Really closing in, now!)
We are still keeping the high humidity at bay and the days, while fairly warm, are not really uncomfortable. (I could get used to a summer full of days like this.)
But we must always be aware that Mother Nature is tricky and can turn on us at any time.
Today's high is predicted to be 92. Will we have the humidity to match? Time will tell.
We are beginning this middle-of-the-week day here at 73 degrees.
Speaking of middle-of-the-week, we find ourselves once again at open house day at the Shisperig Pines, presided over as always by Carl, our friendly activities director who, also as always, has plenty of good food, drink, and entertainment for us at our inn of choice. Will Carl have any new beverage blends to try out on us? Will the entertainment be exciting? Will O'Malley come this time? Will you guys be there?
Questions abound. What will be the answers?
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!
Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
I grilled hotdogs and we ate with Nancy's dad last night. It was pretty good!
Elizabeth told us that Robert, the music director at the theater where she performs, was leaving after Mary Poppins. He's a super guy who has really helped Elizabeth and Jacob both with lessons, casting and even jobs for them both. It turns out that the Center Director was very mean to him after Mary Poppins ended, insisting that Robert was not doing everything possible to increase ticket sales...it was sold-out every night. Robert finally quit, and was planning to leave. The play cast members were having a going away party for him, when it was announced that the board had finally fired the Director, and asked Robert to stay. Thank goodness he agreed! I'm back to being happy with the Averritt Center again LOL.
Lulu is feeling a little better every day, too.
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()

Merry final day of July!
That's what I've been drinking as well. I have a box of candy cane tea left over from last Christmas. Lol!Me too! Well I'm listening to the Kringle Radio tonight, cuz I've been in a mood for Christmas. I'm drinking a cup of hot mint tea, which is just about the only Christmasy drink I can find right now.![]()

Thanks Crown! Happy August Arrives!Good Morning, Window Watchers.
Closer and closer we get to that 100-Day Season Window which we can't wait to open because we know outside is a view showing nothing but double-digit count numbers to our Season of choice.
The daily numbers are thus once again presented for your perusal:
Days to the Season: 104
Days to Christmas Day: 146
And that above mentioned Milestone now appears just FOUR days over the horizon. Barely over HALF a week away.
Stay tuned for excitement!
It continues pleasant here as we transition into a new month, especially in the evenings. Let's keep this trend going!
Our present temperature is 72 degrees and we are headed up to a predicted high of 90 before dropping back into the mid 80's for tomorrow, hopefully with still the reduced humidity.
Well, Carl was delighted to see his friend O'Malley return to the 'Pines yesterday eveining and it did not take the two of them long to become conspiratorial once again. Whether that was reflected in some of the beverage blends offered is a matter of speculation.
Anyway, I hope everyone had fun!
Have a Thrilling Thursday Everyone, as you dream of Weekend Eve tomorrow!
