Christmas Countdown - 2019

Good morning, friends.

What a day we had yesterday. We cooked (way too much), watched the girls play in the water, played cards...and just had a blast. I have been on a lawn since Saturday morning and then again for a few hours yesterday....so I was pretty beat and just needed to sit and unwind. It was so so nice. So much so....I'm sitting on the deck drinking coffee right now and I don't plan on moving much today. I am going to cook breakfast on the grill in a few minutes, but other than that....I might just stay here all day.

Going to be warm here today, but I love looking at the forecast for early signs that fall is coming...and I don't have my first one, yet. Hopefully, it will happen before too long. Cooler days are coming!

Well, I lied. I have to go run a quick errand, but I will be back here on the deck with y'all in no time....today might just be a Christmas music kinda of day.

Good morning Merry Makers!
We got the house completely decorated for Fall yesterday. It looks awesome.
Now if the weather would just cooperate. It's supposed to be in the mid to high 90 this week.

It's 15c / 59f this morning and expected to be partly cloudy and overcast most of the day; the 20% call for rain likely will result in a dry day in my merry neck of the woods.

They issued a frost warning a bit east of me - hope it doesn't come this way just yet.

I went to get Socrates my scarecrow door decoration out to set him up and his head is coming off. I'll have to get myself a hot glue gun and hope for the best.

Took a look in the closet and started reorganizing my wardrobe, hoping I'm not finished with shorts yet.

Good afternoon my MMC friends. I haven't been on here in a little while, and I'm not sure when I'll be back other than to check in on everybody. I lost my job last Wednesday, and I've been pretty down with bills piling up and becoming overdue. I just don't feel very Christmassy right now. I have applied for quite a few jobs, and I've had one interview so far. Please wish me luck, that I get a new job quickly.

So sorry to hear that Lynn. I wish you luck in the job hunt, it's not easy but things can and do change quickly. I hope better times come soon.

Good luck with the job hunt! I know the feeling; my husband is getting laid off next week. We were told about this back in February, but September just seemed so far away then and now it is almost here. We are in the hunt for jobs too. I wish you all the luck and success in finding a job you love!

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job; praying opportunity answers the door and you are back working soon.

I believe that when we're feeling down in the dumps; a little Christmas cheer can go along way in raising us up.

In glad times and sad times; we're here for each other to keep things merry.

Hopefully, good fortune shines in your direction soon to reduce your worries. My first job out of high school was a seasonal job as curator at a local museum that was considered a tourist destination. I was worried at first that I would be out of work, but managed to get myself a job at the gift job of a truck stop across the hwy from where I was working. Hope you and your husband find work soon.
