Good afternoon!
Rainy day her today also...and we are leaving for IKEA soon,
and then we are going to my oldest sisters Birthday party (her day is tomorrow)

We have renovated my youngest daughter's room
(she is at folk high school on the other side of the country!)
It's going to be Isak's room now, so it's chaos here.
His bed is in our living room, and there is clothes, toys, and stuff everywhere!
But he will be moving in to his room tomorrow.
Looking forward to that:D

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy Birthday to your sister!

Merry Saturday!

Gorgeous day out and a bit cooler although I heard warmer temperatures are on the way. Monday the crew is coming over to put a ramp in for my brother. He might be getting out of the second rehab place in a few weeks! The chemo is kicking him pretty good, but I think that once he is here and able to be outside a bit more, he might do better. He spent all the free time he had outdoors and I know that being cooped up in a nursing home is very hard on him as he is extremely bored. I've been spending a lot of time rearranging things to make it easier for him to move around, but this isn't a house that easily accommodates a walker so it will be interesting. The nursing home is supposed to bring him over to see how he does, to offer suggestions on how to make his life easier, and to show me how to lift him should the need arise. I am going to be his caregiver so I'm ready for all the help they can give me!

After reading @Minta 's post about apples, I remembered I have four in the crisper and I am trying to decide what to make with them. Tomorrow I am going to make a couple of quarts of zucchini refrigerator pickles, but this time I might add some shaved carrots to the mix. I use habanero peppers in my pickles to give them a kick so I'll have to add more to counter the sweetness of the carrots. My garden is about done ~ not the best year what with too much rain, then not enough, but still it was nice to have fresh vegetables for a few months. I'm not looking forward to the clean-up in the beds as the weeds were fantastically happy this year, but that will be a good late fall 40* day.

Be merry!

Continued prayers for you and your brother, Meceka.

Good evening, MMC family! One 12 hour shift stands between me and 2 weeks of vacation! I couldn’t be more excited if I tried! Hope you’ve all had a great day!

Are you packed?

Happy End of 1st Half of September MMC! Looks to be a beautiful late summer day here with highs in the upper 70s with sunshine. We're having a little get together here at my place later with my uncle, a friend etc. Should be fun. Have a great End of 1st Half of September!

Good Merry Morning +d

Visit with my co-worker and her boys was fun and her husband and their two dogs came home half-way through my visit.

Her almost 4 year old son gave me a hug before he even opened his surprises because he was so happy and then offered the card to his mom to read for him before he dove into the gift bag.

He also helped his wee brother (all 6.5 lbs of him) with his baby gifts and when his dad came home, he was quick to show him the teething banana and his play dough set with cutters, rollers and molds that were obviously his favourites.

I stayed up pretty late last night, had an odd feeling about O'Malley. I was happy to hear his morning wake up call at 4:00 a.m. He's been sleeping and/or resting so much these days. He has arthritis so not getting around as much. I can't give him medication and the VET can't examine him without giving him a mild tranquilizer; I can't even brush him - he goes to a groomer for that. He has trouble breathing at times, but then I notice he hardly seems to be having any trouble at all. He woke up several times checking to see if I was still there and simply re-positioned himself and went back to dozing.

He's letting me rub him far more than he ever used to and is resting at my side now, purring away and trying to change the height position of my comfy office chair. Still has that pesky-joker side to him.

I fear I'm going to have to make the hardest decision ever in the near future. If he is suffering, I'm not going to be selfish and keep him alive for my gain. That is not how we treat our loved ones. I don't think O'Malley is in too much pain, or he wouldn't let me rub him the way I do; he'd hiss and try to box with me instead. The excessive purring could be his way of trying to heal sore body parts - not just for contentment. I just had a bad feeling last night.

Thankfully, I ran enough errands yesterday so I don't have to leave home today. He's already back on his bed and I haven't quite finished this post yet.

Might have to get the music box going to give him some pleasure.

Housework, cooking and cat watching - those are my plans today.

I'll still manage to stay jolly +hfor now.

Auntie,

Bless O'Malley and you. Two weeks ago, I had to put down my house dog that I had for 17 years. It was tough...I'll admit....but I so knew it was the right thing to do.

I'm saying a little prayer for your friend....and you.

Good Morning .. Well We picked 52 lbs of assorted apples yesterday :) will make the applesauce and apple butter this weekend. Just need to go get more canning lids, didn't realize how low I was on them. It's a lot of of work but well worth it. Store bought just doesn't taste as good LOL. Hope everyone has a great day.

That sounds like so much fun!

Good morning, Christmas friends. I hope all of you are well. What a great start it has been to the weekend...the girls played soccer yesterday, I had to give the ACT test, cut the grass, and then we played cards with Mom for about 3 hours. It was such a good time (even though Doc whipped out butts). It's ok...I let her win (wink, wink).

Today, it is church, football, and cooking. Nothing more, nothing less. Y'all have a blessed one!

Good Morning, Friends.
Rise, shine, sip some iced tea, munch on a fired twinkie, and sit back to enjoy the latest edition of "The Daily Count", delivered dependably each morning to your very own personal computer or phone.

Today's headline is an interesting one:
Days to the Season: 59
Days to Christmas Day: 101

Interesting indeed, for it indicates, via the second number, that the One-Hundred Day Christmas Day Window will be here TOMORROW!
Then -- the start of a double-100's count.
(Ain't we got fun!)

A bit on the warm and humid side here yesterday but I went ahead and got the lawn mowed, while carrying a flask of water with me to prevent dehydration.
Today should see us to 87, then 89 tomorrow, but with a very limited chance of precipitation.
Our day-starting temperature here in the capital city is 73 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody.
Enjoy your remaining weekend!
